AirVuz contributoer Daniel Chong used a lightweight DJI Mini drone to create this beautiful aerial video from Italy's Dolomite Mountains, which are spread across several provinces in the northeastern part of the country.  At :44 you'll see the alpine Lake Braies (Pragser Wildsee) which lies in the province of South Tyrol (part of the Trentino-Alto-Adigio region).  Other shots will take you over some of the dramatic rock formations which make the Dolomites (part of the Southern Limestone Alps system) so visually distinctive.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Yasincncelik earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this excellent FPV video from the Cappadocia region in central Turkey.  Famous for its "fairy tale" rock formations and the multitudes of hot-air balloons which fly over them, Cappadocia has also become something of a magnet for skilled and adventurous FPV pilots, who are able to capture the landscapes as well as the balloon-scapes with their fast and highly maneuverable flying cameras.  

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Finalist CG Films brings us this spectacular drone video from the Dolomite Mountains in northeastern Italy.  At the :27 mark you'll fly directly over a curving road through one of the Dolomite passes, and at :43 (and elsewhere) you'll see Lake Braies, a famous alpine lake which lies at the base of Mt. Seekofel in the province of South Tyrol.  At 1:12, you'll fly past a magnificent rock formation atop one of the mountains, and at 1:43 there's an even more dramatic shot looking down a snow-covered ridge.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor stevenmanolakis brings us this excellent drone video from Western Australia.  The video was filmed over the northern half of the coastline, which is far less densely populated than the southern portion around Perth, the capital of this vast state.  You'll see some of the most remote coastlines anywhere in the world outside of the Arctic, with footage of Shark Bay and the area around Broome, even further to the north.  This video was a DVOW Finalist pick.  

Top AirVuz contributor www.oberschneider.com brings us this stunning drone video from the Austrian Alps.  Filmed with a DJI Air 3S, the video demonstrates the cinematic power of this compact 25 oz. (724 g) drone.  You'll peer through light clouds to view stunning alpine valleys and mountain vistas, just as the transition to Fall colors begins.  The Austrian Alps, also known as the Central Eastern Alps, cover a large portion of Austria as well as sections of neighboring Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy and Slovenia.

Explore the Scottish Highlands from above in this excellent drone video by new AirVuz contributor OVproduction.  At the :15 mark, you'll see the Old Man of Storr, a famous rock formation on the Isle of Skye, followed by the nearby Quiraing formation.  At :33, you'll head to Glen Coe, a well-known valley on the mainland, and at 1:20 you'll see the Glenfinnan Viaduct of Harry Potter fame.  Other highlights include the Neist Point Lighthouse, which marks the westernmost point of the Isle of Skye (2:18).

Top contributor T-christ-T brings us this outstanding drone video from Italy's Dolomite Mountains.  Picked as a DVOW Finalist, the video was filmed over and around the formation known variously as Tre Cime di Lavaredo and Drei Zinnen, a three peak massif which forms the boundary between the provinces of South Tyrol and Belluno. The middle peak (Cima Grande) has an altitude of just over 9.8k ft. above sea level (3k m), while the two outer peaks (Cima Piccola and Cima Ovest) are 500 ft. (150 m) and 85 ft. (26 m) shorter, respectively.  

Top AirVuz contributor rafatofpv earned a spot as a DVOW Finalist for this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video from the Indian Ocean island nation of Sri Lanka.  The video opens with dramatic shots of Sigiriya, an ancient rock fortress near the town of Dambulla in the center of the island.  At around the :58 mark, there's a great shot of the Nine Arch Bridge in south central Sri Lanka.  Other featured locations include the beach town of Mirissa, on Sri Lanka's southern coast, the tea plantations of Nuwara Eliya, and more.  

Explore the USA's 49th state by first person view (FPV) drone in this outstanding reel from Alaska by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot CragLord.  A Drone Video of the Week Finalist in October of 2024, the video features a brilliant mix of landscape and action shots, with the latter including some epic chase sequences involving jetskis in glacial lagoons, race cars, and even a general aviation airplane.  Landscape scenes include some epic shots skimming along some of the state's massive mountains, glaciers, Fall foliage, and more.  

Prepare to be blown away by this stunning drone video from Norway's Svalbard Islands, compliments of top AirVuz contributor denisbarbas.  The islands lie roughly halfway between the northern coast of mainland Norway and the North Pole.  At their northernmost point at around 81 degrees north latitude, the summer midnight sun (when the sun never sets) lasts 141 days, while the winter night (when the sun never rises above the horizon) lasts for 128 days.  The islands have only been continuously  settled since the early 2000's.

In this fantastic reel, you'll explore the giant South American country of Chile from the perspective of a first person view (FPV) drone, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot raguayo_arenas.  The reel features exciting FPV shots from all over Chile, which stretches a north-to-south length of over 2.5k mi. Award-winning content creator Sandrine Hecq brings us this fantastic drone video tour of a lodge in the heart of Africa's safari country.  The Hideaways Mogotlho Safari Lodge is located on the Khwai River in Mababe, Botswana.  It's situated in a region of national parks and preserves in the northern part of the country, not far from the country's northern border with Angola.  Featuring luxurious tented camps, the lodge offers environmentally friendly access to diverse safari wildlife ranging from hippo's and giraffes to lions and zebras.  

Top AirVuz contributor haussmannvisuals earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this piece he created filming a training session of a high altitude rescue team working atop the Germany's tallest skyscraper in Frankfurt's financial district.  The 56 story Commerzbank Tower stands 850 ft. (259 m) above the city's streets; with its antenna spire (featured prominenty in the video) the height rises to 985 ft. (300 m).  When it was completed in 1997, it was the tallest building in all of Europe until 2003.  

This FPV drone tour of Shanghai, China by top AirVuz contributor T-christ-T earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in October of 2024.  In the opening shot, you'll fly through the trapezoid aperture atop the 101 story Shanghai World Financial Center, Shanghai's second-tallest building, which has a roof height of 1.6k ft. (487 m).  In a single shot, you'll then fly over the neighboring Jin Mao Tower, the city's third-tallest.  Other highlights include a fly-by of the Oriental Pearl Tower at the 1:00 mark.  

Picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week in October, 2024, this demo reel by top contributor thedroneXplorer opens with a dramatic shot flying over some backcountry skiers approaching an impossibly steep mountain ridge.  Shot in France and Spain, the reel features a mix of gimbal-stabilized and first person view (FPV) drone shots, including some spectacular FPV diving and chase sequences.  At the 1:04 mark, you'll fly through the Needle, a famous rock formation on France's Normandy coastline.  

Prepare to be blown away by this trip video from Iraq by top AirVuz contributor Lucaputzer, which was picked as a DVOW Finalist and also made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October of 2024.  Filmed with a combination of drones (including an FPV drone) as well as ground cameras, the video will take you across this giant Middle Eastern country.  At the 1:10 mark, you'll see the Al-Askari Shrine in Samarra, about 80 mi. (125 km) north of Bagdad, and at the 1:24 mark you'll see the Great Mosque of Samarra, which dates to the 9th century AD.  

Multiple DVOW Winner dronesantana007 brings us this stunning drone video of the Vietnamese port city of Danang.  One of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing travel destinations, Danag is located about midway down Vietnam's long eastern coastline, at the mouth of the  Hàn River.  The video opens with stunning shots of the Lady Buddha statue in the surrounding Marble Mountains, the tallest in Vietnam.  Other highlights include the Sun Wheel, a massive Ferris wheel in the Asia Park, the city's beachfront hotels, river bridges, and more.  

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Finalist timoksanen bings us this outstanding Fall drone video from the Lapland region of Finland.  It was filmed near the village of Hetta in the municipality of Enontekiö, an appendage of northwestern Finland which is sandwiched between the territory of Sweden and Norway.  Popular with cross-country skiers, this is some of the most remote territory in continental Europe: there's an airport nearby which has seasonal flights, but off-season the nearest airport is about a two hour drive away.  

Former DVOW Winner T-christ-T brings us this fantastic drone video from Chinese Tibet.  The video was filmed over Ngari, the prefecture which covers the western part of Tibet Autonomous Region.  Despite being part of the world's most populous country, Ngari is one of the least populated areas on Earth, with fewer than 100k people spread out over an area of nearly 120k square mi. (around 305k square km).  Just before the :45 mark, there's a great shot of Mount Kailash, which rises to a height of just under 22k ft. above sea level (6.6k m).  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot piotr.G_lab earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this fantastic FPV mountain surfing piece from the French Alps.  The video was filmed at "golden hour" at an altitude of about 11.5k ft. above sea level (around 3.5k m) in the Ubaye Valley in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, one of the main departments of the French Alps.  The valley, through which runs the Ubaye River, is dotted with numerous alpine lakes, some of which you'll see in the video.  

"Cinewhoop" style first person view (FPV) drones are being increasingly used by marketers to promote brands.  Witness this piece by AirVuz contributor RoeeFPV.  The video makes use of the versatility of these small quad, whose light weight and ducted (ie, protected) props make them suitable (when flown by experienced pilots) for use around people and in indoor environments.  As you will see in the video, they also do an excellent job filming indoor-to-outdoor transitions and vice versa.  

Check out the stunning Fall colors in this video from Finland's Lapland region by multiple Drone Video of the Week Finalist timoksanen.  The video was filmed over and around Lake Pallasjärvi, which is located near the Pallastunturi and Lommoltunturi Mountains in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, not far from the country's western border with Sweden.  The lake is generally ice-free only from June through October.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone.  Lapland is Finland's northernmost and largest region.  

AirVuz contributor Avemkite brings us this stunning drone video of Mexico's Peña de Bernal, one of the world's tallest monoliths, or isolated rock formations.  The massive structure is located near the village of Bernal in the state of Querétaro, near the middle of the country.  Formed only about 9 million years ago (quite recently, in geological terms), its base-to-peak height is a little over 1.4k ft., or about 433 m.  It's most easily accessed from Querétaro, the state capital, which lies to its southwest.

Greenland is one of the world's natural wonders.  Part of Denmark, the world's largest island covers 836k square mi. (a bit under 2.2 million square km), making it over three times the size of the France.  Over 80% of the island is covered by a massive ice sheet, the world's largest (by far) outside of Antarctica.  In this amazing video by new contributor FADAH_FPV, you'll explore the coast of this frozen land by drone.  Filmed over the course of a ten day cruise along the Greenland coast, this was a Drone Video of the Week Finalist.  

Prepare to be blown away by this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone mountain surfing video from the French Alps by top AirVuz contributor haussmannvisuals.   Filmed in the area around the town of Chamonix, the video will take you soaring along the spectacular mountain ridges and giant (but shrinking) glaciers which cover much of the landscape.  It's testament to the cinematic power of FPV drones, which are capable of providing never-before seen perspectives of some of the world's most pristine alpine landscapes.

Top AirVuz contributor Rosy earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this fantastic drone video from Myanmar, one of the world's least-known countries.  The video opens with shots of rice paddies and small towns interspersed between low-slung hills, a landscape which is commonly found in the western and eastern portions of the country, with most of the central part of the country covered by a river plain.  At the 1:25 mark, you'll fly past a golden pagoda, one of thousands for which the country is famous.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot WestPsydeFPV brings us this fantastic "cinewhoop" style drone video of the Lost Lands music festival, an annual music festival produced by Canadian DJ and EDM producer Excision.  The 2024 festival was held in September in Legend Valley in central Ohio.  The inaugural festival was held in 2017 and has since produced multiple spinoffs held in other localities.  The festivals are noted for their highly complex visual displays, which are ably captured in the video.  

Explore the great island nation of Indonesia with this fantastic travel video by top AirVuz contributor ravs.  Filmed using both a drone and ground camera, the video opens with shots of Mt. Bromo, an active volcano on the island of Java.  At the :43 mark you'll see Java's Tumpak Sewu waterfall.  From there you'll head to the giant island of Borneo, at the eastern end of the archipelago.  The video concludes with shots from Komodo National Park, home of the famous (namesake) dragon, which lies on a series of islands in southern Indonesia.

Top AirVuz contributor benhawkinslive brings us this fantastic drone video of England's Restormel Castle.  Built shortly after William the Conqueror's 11th century invasion of Britain, it's one of the four main castles erected to solidify Norman control of Cornwall, the southwesternmost region of the island.  Famous for its nearly circular shape, the castle fell into a semi-ruined state by the 16th century.  Although it was occupied for a short time during the English Civil War in the mid-1600's, it was subsequently re-abandoned.

AirVuz contributor Gabriel Ante earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist for this fantastic video of the great Mexican archaelogical site of Teotihuacan.  Located about 25 mi. (around 40 km) northeast of Mexico City, Teotihuacan pre-dates the Aztec Empire by hundreds of years.  Most of the pyramids and other structures which distinguish the city were built in the first 2-3 centuries of the Common Era, during which it was the largest city in the Western City and one of the half-dozen largest cities in the world.  

Top AirVuz contributor panvelvet won the Drone Video of the Week award with this fantastic demo reel.  Brilliantly edited, the reel features a mix of shots of urban, landscape, and action scenes from around the world, primarily China.  Movie quality sequences range from shots of a climber scaling a massive skyscraper in Shanghai to a shot of the famous hot air ballooning scene in Cappadocia, Turkey.  At the :32 mark, you'll see a partially submerged submarine, and at :47 there's a shot of a high-speed train racing past a pagoda.   

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Scottyblue77 earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September 2024 with this fantastic mountain surfing video from the Alps Mountains.  The video was filmed in Switzerland and Italy.  Featured locations include the Sustenpass, which connects the Swiss cantons of Berne and Uri; the Furkapass, a bit to the south, which was a famous James Bond movie filming location; the Grimselpass;  the Gavia Pass, in Italy's Lombardy region; and Switzerland's Nuefenpass.  

Explore some of the northernmost lands on Earth with this fantastic drone video by top contributor Enrico Pescantini.  The video was filmed over the course of a cruise through Norway's Svalbard Islands, which lie roughly halfway between the northern coast of mainland Norway and the North Pole.  The cruise ran from Longyearbyen, on the west coast of the island of Spitsbergen (the main island of the archipelago) to the abandoned mining settlement of Pyramiden, which lies off of a fjord near the center of the island.  

Prepare to be blown away by these drone views of China's Tian Shan Mountains (also known as the Tengri Tagh), compliments of former DVOW Winner T-christ-T.  While the video was filmed in northwestern China, the range extends into the neighboring countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.  Part of the Himalayan Mountain system formed by the collision of the Indo-Australian Plate with the Eurasian Plate, the Tian Shan Mountains have peaks ranging up to about 24.4k ft. above sea level (just over 7.4k m).  

Top AirVuz contributor Lucaputzer earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist as well as a FPV Pilot to Watch for this fantastic first person view (FPV) piece featuring the work of the Iraqi Special Forces.  Formally known as the Iraqi Special Operations Forces, this elite couner-terrorism force was established in 2007.  Structured as three brigades, the Iraqi Special Forces played a key role in the bloody war which ran from 2013-17 between the Iraqi government and the Islamic State.  

Top AirVuz contributor marco.trastu used a DJI Mavic 3 Classic and a DJI Avata 2 first person view (FPV) drone to create this memorable video of a two week trip through Norway.  At the :18 mark, there's a spectacular shot of a waterfall, and starting at around :30 there are a series of amazing FPV shots.  At the :54 mark, you'll see the Fredvang Bridges, a set of cantilevered spans which connect two of the Lofoten Islands.  Other highlights include the famous Henningsvær Stadium, also in the Lofotens (1:21).  

DJI's Avata 2 is, perhaps uniquely, a first person view (FPV) drone capable of creating highly cinematic video without the use of a separately mounted action camera.  In this video by top AirVuz contributor ArturCarvalho, you'll see the Avata 2 in action with a tour of a construction site.   As you'll see, the footage is virtually indistinguishable from that provided by even the most recent models in the GoPro Hero action camera line.  This video was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest.  

Prepare to be amazed by this absolutely stunning drone video from the mountains of northern Italy by top AirVuz contributor denisbarbas.  The video was filmed with a DJI Inspire 3 drone over the Dolomite Mountains, a subchain of the Southern Limestone Alps which covers parts of several provinces in the Trentino-Alto-Adigio and Veneto regions in northeastern Italy.  With dramatic limestone peaks of up to just under 11k ft. above sea level in altitude (3.3k m), the Dolomites offer some of the most spectacular alpine scenery in Europe.

Top AirVuz contributor T-christ-T brings us this absolutely stunning drone video of China's Mt. Gongga, one of the world's highest peaks.  Also known as Minya Konka, it lies in the Chinese province of Sichuan.  With a peak altitude of 24.8k ft. above sea level (7.5k m), it's the world's third-highest mountain outside of the Himalayan Mountain complex.  Part of the Daxue Mountains (themselves part of the broader Hengduan range) it's also the most isolated peak in the world above 23k ft. (7k m).  

Prepare to be blown away by this spectacular drone video from Venezuela by top contributor BashirAbuShakra.  The video features footage from the following locations, by order of first appearance: the Orinoco River Delta, in the northeastern corner of the country (at the :15 mark); the vast Venezuelan Llanos sedimentary basin (:33), Mt. Roraima, near the eastern border with Brazil and Guyana (:42); and Angel Falls, the world's tallest waterfall, which is located in Canaima National Park in the southeastern part of the country (1:05).  

Top AirVuz contributor Lucaputzer earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist with this fantastic travel video from Pakistan.  The video was filmed over the course of a ten day trip through the country, using both a gimbal-stabilized drone as well as a first person view (FPV) quad.  Most of the video was filmed in the mountainous northern part of the country, home of some of the world's most spectacular alpine scenery.   You'll soar over alpine meadows, skim along sand dunes, fly over endless glaciers, and more.  

Top AirVuz contributor earned a spot as a DVOW Finalist with this fantastic aerial video from the harbor of Sydney, Australia.  At about the :26 mark, you'll see the famous Harbor Bridge, which connects the CBD to the harbor's North Shore.  Starting at around :37, the focus shifts to the Opera House, which is located just east of the bridge and is perhaps Australia's most iconic spot.  At around 1:08, you'll see the Sydney Tower, and at 1:50 there's a magnificent shot of the Opera House with the skyscrapers of the CBD in the background.  

Check out this fantastic drone video of a VERY brave and skilled climber ascending one of the tallest skyscrapers in Paris, France, compliments of first-time AirVuz contributor Aira.  Filmed with a DJI Air 2 drone, the video captures a climber ascending, without any safety ropes, the Total Tower (Tour Total).  Part of the La Défense business district a few mi./km west of the city center, the 48 floor tower stands 623 ft tall (190 m), making it the third-tallest skyscraper in La Défense and the fourth-tallest in all of Paris.  

Top AirVuz contributor DDP | Dirty Dishes Productions has carved out an enviable niche using small first person view (FPV) drones known as "cinewhoops" to film music concerts and festivals.  With their light weight and ducted propellers, these drones are relatively safe to fly over crowds of people by experienced pilots.  Concerts clips include Enter Shikari playing at Wembley Arena and Nottingham Motorpoint Arena, the Streets and Sonny Fodera at Alexandra Palace, and Six the Musical at Vaudeville Theatre.

Top AirVuz contributor scuervo.traveler was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in September, 2024 for this fantastic drone video from the Namib Desert in Namibia.  Considered one of the world's most "perfect" deserts, the Namib Desert runs parallel to the coast of southwestern Africa, covering all of Namibia's coastline as well as parts of that of Angola (to the north) and South Africa (to the south).  Almost completely uninhabited, the desert is believed to be the oldest in the world.  

Top AirVuz contributor haussmannvisuals brings us this excellent aerial video of the city of Cincinnati, Ohio.  The video opens with a shot of the downtown area from the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge, which spans the Ohio River and was the longest suspension bridge in the world when it opened in 1866.  At the :12 mark, there's a nice shot of the Carew Tower, the city's second tallest skyscraper as of 2024 and an art deco classic, followed by a view of the Great American Tower, the city's tallest.  

Top AirVuz contributor PerkoFPV earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list with this fantastic FPV video from the Wadi Rum Desert in Jordan.  Also known as the Valley of the Moon, the Wadi Rum covers about 280 square mi. (around 720 square km).  Located a short distance east of the southern city of Aqaba, it's the largest of Jordan's river valleys.  With its unique rock formations, ancient ruins, and prehistoric rock inscriptions, the Wadi Rum has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2011.  

Top AirVuz contributors DigitalTravelCouple won the DVOW award in September, 2024 with this fantastic travel video from Norway.  Filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3 over the course of a six week camper trip, the video offers spectacular aerial views from across this Scandinavian wonder land.  At the :22 mark, you'll see the sun peeking behind some coastal mountains, and at :56 there's a marvelous top-down shot of a giant waterfall.  Further on, you'll see some of Norway's famous fjords and glaciers, as well as some great canoeing shots.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot maga.fpv brings us this stunning FPV mountain surfing video from Kazakhstan in Central Asia.  The video was filmed on Khan Tengri, which is Kazakhstan's highest mountain peak.  Khan Tengri is located in the eastern part of the country, straddling the borders with Kyrgyzstan to the north and China to the east.  Part of the Tian Shan Mountains (of which it is the second-highest peak), it reaches a height of just under 23k ft. above sea level or around 7k m. 

Top AirVuz contributor and pilot T-christ-T won the Drone Video of the Week contest with this fantastic video of Mt. Everest, the world's highest mountain.  The video, which mixes drone and ground camera footage, was filmed on the northern (Chinese Tibet) side of the mountain, which sits along the border with Nepal to the south.  With a peak of just over 29k ft. above sea level (around 8.8k m), Mt. Everest wasn't scaled by a documented climb until 1953, and not from its northern side until 1960.  

AirVuz contributor MikeLuvecce aka Skystream Media, is a Wellington, New Zealand based drone filming company that specialized in highly cinematic first person view (FPV) drone video content.  In this impressive reel, you'll see some of the highlights of his work.  Filmed throughout New Zealand, the reel features an impressive mix of landscape, urban, action, and "people" shots.  Highlights include some stunning shots flown over music festivals; chase sequences involving bikers, boaters, and cars; and more.  

Top AirVuz contributor NI earned a spot as a DVOW Finalist with this magnificent aerial video of Germany's Schwerin Castle.  The palace is located on a lake in its namesake city, the capital of the northern state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.  Originally a medieval fortress which was subsequently converted into a castle during the Renaissance, the structure was largely rebuilt in the Historicist architectural style during the middle decades of the 19th century.  Today, parts of the palace are used as the home of the state parliament.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot CragLord earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September of 2024 with this fantastic FPV mountain surfing video from Alaska.  The video was filmed around Reed Lakes, a pair of alpine lakes in the Talkeetna Mountains, a bit to the northeast of Anchorage in the southern part of the state.  The lakes sit at an altitude of about 4.2k ft. above sea level (about 1.3k m) and are surrounded by mountain peaks up to 8.8k ft. (2.7k m) in altitude.  

New AirVuz contributor Daniel Chong earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in August of 2024 with this excellent drone video from southern Iceland.  The video focuses on the glacier-fed rivers which empty into the North Atlantic Ocean.  Roughly 10% of the land area of the island is covered by glaciers and icecaps, most of which sit over the highlands area in the interior.  Due to climate change, the glaciers and icecaps have shrunk by roughly a tenth in just the previous decade.  

AirVuz contributor Gustavo Quiroga earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist with this excellent video from the Andes Mountains in Argentina.  The area filmed is called Agua de los Tamarindos, and it's located on Route 13 near Uspallata in the northwestern state of Mendoza.  Filmed with a  DJI Mini 3 Pro and and a DJI Air 3 drone, the video captures an outcrop of the Choiyoi Group, a volcanic-sedimentary sequence which formed between 200-300 million years ago and which extends over to neighboring Chile.  

Top AirVuz contributor Arnaud Lesueur won the Drone Video of the Week contest in August of 2024 with this fantastic demo reel.  Featuring a mix of gimbal-stabilized drone and first person view (FPV) drone footage, the video was filmed in various spots around Europe, primarily in the Alps mountains.  At the :20 mark, there's a dramatic timelapse shot of some clouds hanging over a mountain valley.  Further on you will skim over alpine ridges, fly over a running race, dive a waterfall, and much more. 

Check out these spectacular drone views of the Bavarian Alps, compliments of AirVuz contributor Karem Hajoj.  A Drone Video of the Week Finalist in August of 2024, the video was filmed with the DJI Air 3 drone, which weighs about a pound (.5 kg) and is perfect for mountain treks.  Part of the Northern Limestone Alps, the Bavarian Alps cover much of Germany's southernmost state (as well as parts of adjacent Austria) and which have peaks ranging up to about 9.7k ft. in altitude (just under 3k m) above sea level.  

Italy based denisbarbas is one of the top content creators in the AirVuz community; he was a Drone Video of the Year Finalist in 2022 and 2023 and has won the Drone Video of the Week/Month contests multiple times.  He is also one of a growing number of aerial videographers who have branched into the world of first person view (FPV) flight, which provides opportunities to create shots that can't be made with gimbal-stabilized drones.  In this reel, he shows what he can do with DJI's Avata 2 drone.  

Take in these stunning aerial views of Norway's Lofoten Islands, compliments of AirVuz contributor and drone pilot T-christ-T.  The video opens with a series of stunning shots of the mountains which cover much of the islands, which lie within the Arctic Circle but yet have a surprisingly mild climate.  Starting at around the :35 mark, you'll see some of the iconic villages which dot the Lofotens, at 1:08 there's a stunning shot looking along the coast, and at 2:00 there's an amazing slow-motion shot of waves crashing upon a rock.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilto VictorLS1990 earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August of 2024 with this excellent FPV mountain surfing video from the Pyrenees Mountains.  The video was filmed at sunrise in Ordino-Arcalis, a ski resort in Andorra, the tiny principality which is sandwiched between France and Spain along the main ridge of the Pyrenees.  The resort is located in the Ordino Valley, which lies in the northern part of the country and borders France.  

Explore some of the most beautiful scenery in Southeast Asia in this drone video by AirVuz contributor giftforsenses, which was picked as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week.  The video features footage from the following locations in Vietnam and Thailand:  the Thai capital city of Bangkok; Chiang Mai, the largest city in northern Thailand; Chiang Rai, Thailand's northernmost city; Hanoi, the capital and second-largest city of Vietnam; and Ninh Binh, a city on the Red River Delta in northern Vietnam.  

Former DVOW Finalist Ádám Katona // filmingdrones brings us this fantastic aerial video of a lake in the mountains of Croatia.  It's one of several around the village of Fužine, which is located in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, in the northwestern part of this Southeast European country.  The thickly forested mountains here are part of the Dinaric Alps, a chain of mountains which run down the western side of the Balkan Peninsula which reach altitudes of up to about 6k ft. above sea level (around 1.9k m) on Croatian territory.  

The Cappadocia region of central Turkey is famous for its "fairy tale" rock formations as well as the hot air balloons which take tourists over these geological wonders.  In this video, top AirVuz contributor lukethecreator provides a unique first person view (FPV) look at the wonders of Capadocccia, which lies on the Anatolian Plateau.  The first part of the video focuses on the rock formations, which were created by unusual sedimentary deposition and erosion patterns, while the second part focuses on the ballooning scene.  

Check out these magnificent first person view (FPV) drone views of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy by top AirVuz contributor Mauro Pagliai.  One of the great landmarks of the Antiquity, the great open-air stadium was built in the first century AD and could hold up to 80k spectactors.   Its uses included gladiator contests, executions, re-enactments of military battles, and dramatizations of Roman mythology.  In 2007, the Colosseum was picked as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This video was a DVOW Finalist.  

Check out this stunning drone video of a lake in western Hungary by filmingdrones.  It's actually an artificial lake originally created by mining activity near the village of Gyékényes, very close to Hungary's western border with Croatia in Somogy County, which covers a section in the southwestern corner of the country.   Created by gravel mining, the lake is known for its unusually clear waters - so clear that visibility can extend up to 27 ft. deep (8 m) at times.  The video also includes a first person view (FPV) drone shot.  

Explore the Caribbean island paradise of Cuba in this fantastic video by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Rosy.  Created using both drone and ground camera footage, the video will take you over numerous spots in the island, the largest in the Caribbean by land area.  Much of the footage is from Havana, the national capital city, which lies on its northwestern coast and which is the second-largest urban area in the Caribbean after Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.  The video also features shots of other spots on the island.  

Explore Portugal's Alvão Natural Park in this fantastic drone video by AirVuz contributor Airviewstudio.  The park covers about 28 square mi. (around 72 square km) across the municipalities of Mondim de Basto and Vila Real in Vila Real, one of the country's districts along Portugal's northern border with Spain.  The park lies in the mountains which cover much of the interior of northern Portugal, the tallest of which (Mt. Caravelas) has a summit altitude of about 4.4k ft. above sea level (around 1.3k m).  

Top AirVuz contributor LUK☰☰ earned a spot as a DVOW Finalist with this fantastic drone video from the state of Utah.  Utah has some of the most diverse and spectacular landscapes of any state in the USA.  It's northeastern corner is covered buy subchains of the Rocky Mountains, and its western and southern portions much more closely resemble the desert landscapes of the Southwest.  This video manages to cover it all: snow-covered peaks, yawning canyons, magnificent rock formations, and unique features such as the Great Salt Lake.  

Check out this fantastic drone video of the area around a reservoir lake in the Swiss Alps, compliments of top AirVuz contributor Kpax.  Albigna Lake is located in the municipality of Vicosoprano in Grissons (Graubünden), the largest (by land area) and easternmost of Switzerland's 26 cantons.  Situated in the Val Bregaglia, the lake sits at an elevation of about 7.1k ft. above sea level or around 2.2k m.  The reservoir flows into the Mera River, which in turn discharges into Italy's Lake Como.  This video was a DVOW Finalist.

Former Drone Video of the Year Finalist Feeling Drone - Guillermo García
 brings us this fantastic trip video from Iceland, which was picked as the DVOW Winner in August, 2024.  Edited and narrated in this talented content creator's distinctive style, the video features epic shots (including epic FPV sequences) from across iceland, including the Skogafoss, Gulfoss, and Godafoss waterfalls; the Vatnajökull glacier; Iceland's famous black sand beaches; the mountainous interior highlands; the erupting Fagradalsfjall volcano, and more.   

Check out these spectacular drone views of one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world, compliments of AirVuz contributor Dang Cine.  Vietnam's Landmark 81 stands a bit over 1.5k ft. (461 m) above the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, the commercial capital and largest city of Vietnam.  Completed in 2018, the 81 story tower was the tallest in Southeast Asian prior to the completion of the Merdeka 118 tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  The 81 story tower sits on the banks of the Saigon River just north of the historic city center.  

This amazing video from Italy by top AirVuz contributor Chris Jeon earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in August of 2024.  The video opens with shots of the fabled rolling hills of Tuscany, and at the :26 mark there's a nice nighttime shot of the Tuscan capital, Florence.  From there, you'll head for some snow-covered mountains, and at :50 you'll see the Tuscan town of Sienna.  At 1:23, you'll see the distinctive battlements of the Dolomite Mountains.  Other highlights include the seaside towns of the Italian Riviera.   

Explore the coast of Portugal's Centro region in this terrific drone video by contributor Airviewstudio.  The video was filmed over and around the town of Aveiro and the nearby Costa Nova beach area, which lie in the northern part of the Centro Region, about an hour's drive south of the city of Porto.  The coastline here takes a complex shape as the convergence of several rivers created a series of coastal lagoons and inland waterways, and Aveiro is sometimes referred to as the Venice of Portugal due to its canals and other waterways.  

Check out this outstanding drone video of Vietnam's Bà Nà Hills, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Chitchai Sriprom.  Also known as the Sun World Ba Na Hills, it's a hill fort located in the  Trường Sơn Mountains west of Danang, an important port city about mid-way down the length of the country.  Established as a hill station by the French during Colonial times, the hills sit at an altitude of about 5k ft. above sea level (around 1.5k m).  The town is serviced by one of the world's longest cable cars.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot noahmalin earned a spot as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist with this amazing video in which he flew his FPV drone from a hot air balloon.  Given the obvious safety issues, filming hot air balloons with a powerful FPV drone is extremely challenging and is only undertaken in tightly controlled conditions.  The results are spectacular though, as the speed and maneuverability of FPV drones compared to their gimbal-stabilized cousins permit a much more exciting style of filming.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot altra_studios earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August, 2024 with this excellent FPV video of the Electric Love Festival near Salzburg, Austria.  Held since 2013, the annual EDM festival takes place at the Salzburgring, a motorsports track in Plainfield, just east of Salzburg.  It's considered Austria's premier EDM festival.  The video was filmed with a "cinewhoop" style drone, whose light weight and ducted propellers make them suitable for flying over crowds.  

AirVuz contributor Albion Drones brings us this excellent drone video of a well-known landmarks in the Scottish Highlands: the lighthouse of Neist Point, on the Isle of Skye.  Built in 1909, the lighthouse is located at the tip of a peninsula on the western side of the island, which is the largest of the Inner Hebrides.  The lighthouse is important to protecting shipping traffic in the dangerous waters between the Inner and Outer Hebrides.  Standing 62 ft. tall (around 20 m), it's been automated since 1990.  

AirVuz contributor Bali Drone Guide brings us this stunning drone video of Indonesia's Komodo Islands, one of the world's top emerging eco-tourism destinations.  Home of the famous Komodo Dragon, the islands are part of a UNESCO World Heritage site as well as an official Man and Biosphere Reserve.  They are located just east of the larger island of Flores in East Nusa Tengara, Indonesia's southernmost province.  The video also includes shots of the area around Labuhan Bajo, on the western end of Flores.    

Norway's Polar Park is one of the natural treasures of this large Scandinavian country.  Seen in this outstanding drone video by former Drone Video of the Week Finalist fotoknoff, it's located in the municipality of Bardu in Troms, Norway's northernmost county.  Believed to be the northernmost park of its type, its population includes Norway's four largest predators as well as reindeer, muskox, red deer, moose, and other fauna.  The park covers an area of about 270 acres.  It was opened in 1994.  

Check out this fantastic drone video of the city of Guiyang, China by AirVuz contributor Chitchai Sripirom.  Guiyang is the capital of the inland province of Guizhou.  With a metropolitan population of about five million, it's one of the half-dozen largest cities in southwestern China.  The city lies along the Nanming River, a branch of the Wu River, one of the largest tributaries of the Yangtze.  Located on the eastern side of the Yunnan–Guizhou Plateau, Guiyang has been inhabited for nearly three thousand years.

Top AirVuz contributor Airviewstudio brings us this fantastic drone video from the city of Porto, Portugal.  The video includes footage both from Porto itself as well as from the neighboring city of Bila Nova de Gaia, which lies to its south.  The opening part of the video features some great shots of kiteboarding plying the waters along the coast, and starting at about the 1:30 mark there are some amazing views of the Dom Luís I Bridge, which crosses the River Douro and is one of Portugal's most famous landmarks. 

Top contributor DroneDirector used a DJI Mavic Pro 3 to create this fantastic aerial tour of the Faroe Islands, a Danish archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.  It features footage of the following locations, in order of appearance: Norðradalur, a village on the western side of the island of Stremoy; the southern island of Sandoy; Vágur, a town on the island of Suðuroy; the Risin og Kellingin sea stacks, just off the island of Eysturoy; the Múlafossur waterfall on the island of Vagar; the islets of Tindhólmur and Drangarnir; and more.  

Multiple Drone Video of the Week Finalist timoksanen brings us this fantastic drone video of an abandoned fishing village in the far northern part of Norway.  It's called Hamningberg, and it's located on the shores of the Barents Sea (an inlet of the Arctic Ocean) in Troms og Finnmark, the country's northernmost county.  It's part of the Varanger Peninsula, well within the Arctic Circle.  While the village survived occupation by German forces during World War II, Hamningberg was abandoned in 1964.  

Top AirVuz contributor panvelvet was picked as a Drone Video of the Week Finalist in the summer of 2024 for this outstanding drone tour of the great city of Shanghai, China.  At the :23 mark, you'll fly through the aperture atop the Shanghai Financial Center in the Pudong District, the city's second-tallest building.  At :34, there's a nice shot of the Oriental Pearl Tower (also in Pudong), and at 1:16 there's a nice wide shot of the Pudong area as a whole, which lies on the east side of the Huangpu River from the city's historic center.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner sinaysky brings us this excellent drone video of a centuries-old festival in the village of Perast, Montenegro.  The Fashinada is held on July 22 every year on the island of Our Lady of the Rocks, a tiny artificial island just west of the village in Kotor Bay, an inlet of the Adriatic Sea on Montenegro's northern coastline.   During Fashinada, which dates back almost 600 years, participants throw rocks into the sea, the method by which the tiny islet was created during medieval times.  

Prepare to be amazed by this stunning drone video from the Alps Mountains by brand-new contributor The Obelisk.  Featuring magnificent shots from Italy, Switzerland, and Austria, the video was film was named as the Best Drone Film at the Cannes World Film Festival, and was also nominated for Best Super Short Film. It was also nominated for Best Experimental Short at the Cannes Shorts festival.  Highly creative and with amazing transitions, the video provides a bird's eye view of some of the most spectacular alpine scenery in Europe.  

Former DVOW Winner Nico Lehr used a DJI Mini 4 Pro to create this marvelous aerial video of the Spanish island of Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands chain located off the coast of Northern Africa.  The video features spectacular shots of the island's highly varied coastline and the towns and cities which lie along it, as well as of the island's volcanic interior.  At the 2:22 mark, you'll see Mt. Teide off in the distance; with a summit altitude of 12.2k ft. above sea level (3.7k m) it's the highest mountain on Spanish soil.   

Top AIrVuz contributor timoksanen brings us this magnificent video from one of Europe's northernmost spots during the summer, when the sun literally does not set.  The video was filmed at midnight in North Cape (Nordkapp), Norway, which is part of the island of Magerøya in the Barents Sea.  Located at around 72 degrees north latitude, well within the Arctic Circle (which begins at about 68 degrees latitude), the summer days here are literally endless.   The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3 drone.  

Contributor worldfromabove brings us this excellent drone video of the city of Rimini, Italy.  A port town on the Adriatic Sea, Rimini is the captal of its namesake province, the southernmost of the provinces which makes up Italy's Emilia-Romagna region.  Established during the time of the Roman Republic, the city played an important role in the affairs of the region by virtue of its strategic location astride an important north-south route across the Po River Valley.  It emerged as a tourist destination beginning in the mid-1800's.  

AirVuz contributor Paschalis Doumanis brings us this excellent drone video of Thessaloniki, Greece's second-largest city.  The video opens with a shot of the city's waterfront, and starting at the :13 mark there's a nice shot flying towards the  White Tower of Thessaloniki, perhaps its most famous landmark.  At :24, you'll see the Port of Thessaloniki, Greece's largest export seaport.  At 1:32, there's a great shot of Aristotelous Square, the city's largest public plaza, and at 1:51 you'll see the statue of Alexander the Great.  

Explore the far northern reaches of Portugal with this excellent drone video by contributor Airviewstudio.  The video was filmed over the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez and the town of Ponte de Lima, the latter of which is Portugal's oldest town.  Both are part of the Viana do Castelo District, which covers the far northwestern part of the country and which has a longer border with Spain than with the rest of Portugal.  The video includes shots of the Lima River, which originates in Spain and flows west towards the Atlantic Ocean.  

Take an aerial tour of the Italian city of Modena in this exellent drone video by top contributor Luca T.  The video opens with a shot of the Ghirlandina, the bell tower of the Cathedral of Modena.  At the :17 mark, there's another shot of the tower, and at around :34 you'll see the Ducal Palace.  Starting at about :50, there's a single-shot first person view (FPV) flyover of the city, with a great shot of the Town Hall at around 1:11.  The capital of its namesake province, Modena is one of the larger cities in the Emilia-Romagna region.  

Top AirVuz contributor DroneDirector brings us this excellent drone video of a cruise ship plying the waters of the Faroe Islands, a Danish archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean.  The ship is the MS Zuiderdam, which is a Vista-class ship operated by Holland America Lines.  In service since 2002, the ship displaces about 82k tons and is around 955 ft. long (around 291 m).  It can carry up to about 2.3k passengers in addition to a crew complement of about 850.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 3 drone.  

Enjoy these impressive aerial views of the Croatian island of Hvar, compliments of top AirVuz contributor photoexpert.eu.  The long, relatively narrow island of the Adriatic Sea stretches for about 42 mi. (around 68 km) off of Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, between the islands of Brač, Vis and Korčula.   With about 10k permanent residents (most of whom live in the island's namesake town near its western tip), Hvar is the fourth-most populous of the Croatian islands.  The video was filmed with a DJI Air 2S.  

In this first person view (FPV) drone video by top AirVuz contributor raguayo_arenas, you'll explore some of the most spectacular and remote landscapes of Chile.  The video was filmed in the course of a trip down the Austral Road (aka Chilean Route 7) which runs nearly 800 mi. (around 1.25k km) from Puerto Montt to Villa O'Higgins, providing access to the sparsely populated Patagonia region at the southern end of the country.  Construction of the road commenced in 1976 and took a quarter century to complete.  

In this excellent travel video by AirVuz contributor nico, you'll get an aerial tour of the inland Chinese province of Qinghai.  Qingai is one of the most sparsely populated Chinese provinces; it's the largest by land area (excluding the autonomous regions) and the third-smallest by population.  The video was filmed over the course of a SUV trip through the Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, which covers much of the northwestern as well as the southwestern corner of the province.
