While the Italian region of Campania is known more for its coastline, a portion of the province is covered by the Apennine Mountains.  Witness this highly cinematic drone video from AirVuz contributor CG Films.   It was filmed on the slopes of Mt. Cervati, a peak of the Apennines in the province of Salerno.  It's part of the historical region of Cilento, which covers much of the central and southern parts of the province.  The mountain has a peak elevation of about 1.9k meters above sea level or around 6.1k ft.

Naples and Mt. Vesuvius

Italy's Amalfi Coast, a legendary stretch of coastline on the Tyrrhenian Sea (an extension of the Mediterranean Sea) south of Naples, has some of the most spectacular scenery in the country.  As a honeymoon destination, it is hard to beat.  Which is why top AirVuz contributor and pilot Hamza Mujtaba took his wife there for a surprise honeymoon.  Thankfully he also took along his DJI Mavic Pro drone, allowing him to create this epic aerial tour of this Mediterranean paradise in southern Italy.

Vesuvio: Destroyer of Pompeii

Mt. Vesuvius (Vesuvio) in southern Italy is amongst the world's most important volcanoes from a historical perspective.  More or less dormant since the 1940's, it is credited with the most famous volcanic event in history.  In 79 AD, a major eruption more or less wiped out four major Roman towns, the most notable of which was Pompeii.  Contributor and pilot feola.mike used a DJI drone to create this beautiful video of the great mountain, still considered one of the more dangerous volcanoes on earth.

Check out this magnificent drone video of two of the most well known spots in the Salerno Province of Southern Italy, compliments of tripartiste. The first is the town of Positano, the most famous of the towns along the stretch of coastline on the south side of the Sorrentine Peninsula which is known as the Amalfi Coast.  The other location featured in the video is the ancient town of Paestum, an ancient Greek settlement on the "mainland" part of Salerno, southeast of the Amalfi Coast.

Capua's Amphitheater: Italy's "Other" Colosseum

Anfiteatro Campano - Santa Maria Capua Vetere

Less well known than Rome's Colosseum, the Capua Amphitheater in Santa Maria Capua Vetere (ancient Capua) was the second-largest Roman amphitheater.  The town is situated due north of Naples, in Italy's Caserta province (which forms a part of the Campania region).  Built in the first century BC, the amphitheater was the scene of many important events in the Roman Republic and the Empire.  In this video, contributor feola.mike captures these ancient ruins brilliantly with a DJI Phantom 4 drone.

Italy's Pompeii Archaeological Park marks the site of one of the most well-documented events of the Antiquity: the destruction of the city of Pompeii when nearby Mt. Vesuvius catastrophically erupted in 79 AD.  The explosion buried the city and several surrounding towns under 4-6 meters (13-20 ft.) of volcanic ash, instantly killing all of its 10k+ inhabitants.  Located in the (southern) Campania region just outside of the city of Naples, the archaeological park can be seen from above in this drone video by mikyciancio.
