Fortress St. Elmo Naples

Castel Sant'Elmo is a famous fortress which overlooks the port city of Naples, Italy.  Seen from above in this drone video by dronemagic, it's situated atop Vomero Hill, just west of the Naples city center.  The fortification originally dates to the 13th century.   Heavily damaged by an earthquake in 1456, the structure was rebuilt as its present star configuration during the 16th century, when much of southern Italy was under the Crown of Aragon.  It later served as a prison, it continued to be a military property until the 1970's.
