(around 40 km) north of Naples in the region of Campania, the palace was built for the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies in the 18th century.   The Baroque masterpiece is the largest royal residence in the world, covering over half a million square ft. (just under 50k square m).  The palace "played the role" of the Theed City Naboo Palace in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999).
