Check out these stunning DVOW nominated film of Italy's Amalfi Coast, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and pilot CG Films.  The coastline consists of a series of towns on the southern coast of the Sorrentine Peninsula in Sorrento, one of the provinces of the southern Campania region.   The westernmost of these towns is Positano, while the easternmost of the chain is called Vietri sul Mare and is just west of Salerno at the base of the peninsula.  Since 1997, the towns of the Amalfi Coast have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Amalfi Coast is the stretch of Campania coast of the southern Tyrrhenian Sea, located south of the Sorrento peninsula and north of the Cilento coast, overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, bordered to the west by Positano and to the east by Vietri sul Mare, famous throughout the world for its naturalistic beauty, as well as home to important tourist settlements. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, it takes its name from the city of Amalfi, the central nucleus of the coast not only geographically, but also historically.
