Lago Laceno - Un Viaggio Tra La Neve

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist CG Films brings us this outstanding drone video from the Laceno recreational area in southern Italy. The area includes a lake and ski area in Laceno, one of the inland provinces of the region of Campania. The area is located within the Picentini Mountains, which form part of the larger Appenine Mountains chain that runs down the "spine" of Peninsular Italy. The lake itself is actually much smaller than it was prior to being partially drained into holes created by a large 1980 earthquake.

Laceno is a fraction of Bagnoli Irpino and is characterized by a spectacular plateau in which a characteristic lake “rises”. Lake Laceno is located at an altitude of 1100 meters in a karst basin immersed in the greenery of the Picentini Mountains. Laceno is the Irpinia summer and winter tourist center thanks to the variety of hiking trails, ski slopes, riding stables and numerous catering activities that favor the development of the locality in all seasons. In spring, visits to the spectacular Fiumara di Tannera are recommended, where you will be enchanted by the springs, the waterfalls and the numerous fords that will lend themselves in front of your eyes.
