New Orleans, Louisiana is one of the oldest and most important cities in the Southeastern USA. It's situated near the mouth of the Mississippi, one of the great North American rivers. The city was the largest in the Pre-Civil War South, although it was subsequently overtaken by newer cities such as Atlanta. It remains one of the USA's most important cultural cities, the home of some of the USA's best-known churches, its famous Mardi Gras celebration, as well as its almost equally famous Jazz music festival. Its seaport, which stretches for many km/mi along the river, remains one of the largest in the country. And every half-dozen years or so the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, one of the most famous stadiums in the USA, hosts another Super Bowl championship. Here is a collection of the best drone videos from this great city, devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 but proving its resilience in the years which followed.
