The Abandoned Six Flags New Orleans
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
One of the enduring legacies of the catastrophic Hurricane Katrina is the Six Flags New Orleans amusement park site. Located just south of Lake Pontchartrain, the 57 hectare (140 acre) site was flooded when the city's water containment infrastructure failed in the wake of the mighty 2005 storm. Not having re-opened, its use has largely been as a filming location for Hollywood movies such as Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) and Jurassic World (2015). Check out the abandoned park from above in this drone video by AirWorthy Tours.
