Six Flags (Abandoned) New Orleans
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Among the permanent casualties in New Orleans from Hurricane Katrina is the former Six Flags Amusement Park. Situated in New Orleans East, the park opened on a 140 acre site in 2002. It has been closed since the historic storm and subsequent flooding devastated the city in August, 2005. In the mean time, it's been used to film a number of feature movies and TV shows, most famously the 2015 sci-fi blockbuster Jurassic World. You can see this eery reminder of pre-Katrina New Orleans in this drone video by Bumble Bee Productions.

I was heading east through New Orleans when I decided to buzz the abandoned Six Flags. One of many remnants and reminder of Hurricane Katrina. Eerie place and wanted to hang out longer but there were people coming and going and was a little uncomfortable. I managed to capture a little of the abandoned amusement park
