Technically, a castle is structure built during the Middle Ages which served as a residence for nobility and was also fortified. The term also includes structures built after the Middle Ages, such as Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, which did not have functional fortifications. Castles are historical and cultural treasures spread throughout the European continent (particularly places like Scotland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania) and Turkey. Not surprisingly, they are amazing sights to behold from an aerial perspective, as you will see from this captivating castle drone video collection of some of the world’s top castles.
