Warwick Castle

It's in Warwickshire, the West Midlands county which was the birthplace of William Shakespeare. The original castle was built by the Norman conquerors, with the present castle being built on the same site in the 13th century. It's located on a bend of the Avon River, and its strategic location made it an important strategic location during the Hundred Years' War.
