Check out this magnificent drone video of Dresden, Germany, compliments of Arturas Orlauskas.  The capital of the northern state of Saxony, Dresden is built on the banks of the Elbe River.  Home to some of the most well-known Baroque architecture in Europe, the city was heavily damaged in the waning months of World War II during a still-controversial bombing raid which destroyed much of the old city and killed at least 25,000 civilians; the bombing was immortalized in Kurt Vonnegut's classic 1969 novel, Slaughterhouse-Five.

Contributor and pilot Ludoweet created this amazing drone video of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, which cover parts of Saxony in eastern Germany as well as a portion of the Czech Republic.  The area (or at least its German portion) is sometimes referred to Saxon Switzerland, although it's well to the north of the actual Switzerland.  The video captures the Großer Zschirnstein, the highest peak of these foothills, which reaches a height of 560 meters (about 1.8k ft.) above sea level.
