Albrechtsburg & Dom Meissen, Sachsen

The town of Meissen is located in the state of Saxony, about 25 km (15 mi.) downstream of the state capital city of Dresden. Its two best known landmarks are located adjacently on a hill above the town: Meissen Cathedral and the Late Gothic Albrechtsburg Castle. The two landmarks overlooking the fabled river make for an iconic bit of German scenery.
