Burg Plesse - just can't get enough of Plesse Castle

AirVuz contributor and pilot seb-depp brings us this beautiful drone video of Plesse Castle in Northern Germany.  It's located just north of the city of Göttingen in the state of Lower Saxony.  The castle is believed to date to the 11th century AD.  The subject of a siege during the Thirty Years' War, the castle fell into disuse following the end of that bloody 17th-century conflict.  Interest in the castle revived following a visit by the great poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and the landmark was restored in the mid-19th century.

The Plesse Castle - frequented, because it isn't far - was build around 1100 and consists of two towers. One has an accessible roof top. In this video - I know it's a bit long - I can't get enough of the beautiful dawn. Die Burg Plesse - unser beliebtes Ausflugsziel - wurde um 1100 errichtet und besteht heute im Wesentlichen aus zwei Türmen - einer begehbar, einer nicht. Das Restaurant ist durchaus einen Stopp wert. In diesem - zugegebenermaßen langen - Video schwelge ich im Sonnenaufgang.
