Ancient ruins represent some of the world's most popular tourist sites. In countries like Italy, Turkey, and numerous other spots in the Middle East as well as in North Africa, they command a significant share of overall tourist visits. In other countries like the United Kingdom and Peru, they represent important tourist destinations even if they aren't necessarily the primary motivation for the trip. Assuming that safety precautions are observed, drone videos of places like the Parthenon in Athens or the Colosseum in Rome add an entirely new perspective and can be invaluable in terms of understanding how these things "worked" in their times. Here's a collection of great drone videos from some of the most famous ancient ruins sites around the world!
