Coastal FPV

In this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video, you'll cruise the coast around one of the most famous beaches in Portugal.  Ursa Beach (Praia da Ursa) is located in the heart of the Portuguese Riviera, the stretch of Atlantic coastline west and northwest of Lisbon.  Ursa Beach is distinguished by the giant rock formations which sit just off the shore, which are thoroughly explored in the video.  At about the :47 mark, you'll pass through a narrow gap at the base of one of these rock behemoths.  

Ride along with former DVOW Winner Jturner for a first person view (FPV) cruise along a historic stretch of the USA's New England coastline.  The video was filmed around the Eastern Point Lighthouse in Gloucester, northeast of Boston, Massachusetts.  The lighthouse is located at the entrance of a natural harbor on the southern side of Cape Ann, which is considered the USA's oldest seaport.  The current lighthouse, which was built in 1890, is the third to occupy the location.  It's listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Top first-person-view (FPV) pilot JohnnyFPV teamed up with social media powerhouse Sam Kolder to make this highly creative film from the island nation of the Dominican Republic.   Watch as one of the world's top racing drone pilots puts his skills to the test flying around Sam Kolder, while Sam performs some pretty insane cliff jumps...It's cinematic FPV at its best, and all the more so for its stunning tropical location on the southern coast of this amazing country, the eastern half of the island of Santo Domingo.

The Big Sur coastline in California is known for many things: the memorable drive along Highway 1, the spectacular waves of the Pacific Ocean crashing along the rugged coastline, and abundant hiking opportunities.  But for drone pilot nonexistentjay, this beautiful destination became the perfect FPV playground.  Watch as he dives the cliffs, skims the shore and gives us to-die-for views of the Bixby Bridge and Pigeon Point Lighthouse, making a clear case for his spot on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in February 2020.

The coastline of the Basque Country Region of Spain is home to one of the world's most distinctive-looking rock formations.  It's called the Flysch, and it runs for about 5 mi. (about 8 km) along the Bay of Biscay coast near the town of Zumaia.  Considered the longest continuous rock formation in the world, it's also a great spot for some first person view (FPV) coastal cruising, as you'll see in this beautiful video by AirVuz contibutor and FPV pilot Dani Doncel.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July, 2022.  

Cruise the coastline of Oregon in the USA's Pacific Northwest in this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and pilot LoftyWorx.  The video was shot over a famous rock formation known as the Seal Rocks, which is basically a ledge that runs the length of about 2.5 mi. (around 4 km) parallel to the shoreline.  It's located in Lincoln County roughly a third of the way down Oregon's Pacific Ocean coastline from north to south.  The video was captured with a GoPro Hero 9 camera.    

With its stunning limestone islands that rise almost vertically out of the sea, Thailand's Phang Nga Bay is home to some of the most iconic scenery in Southeast Asia.  Situated between the island of Phuket and the mainland of the Malay Peninsula, this inlet of the Andaman Sea "played the role" of Planet Kashyyyk in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005).  Check out the famous bay from a totally new perspective in this first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Livyu FPV.

The Apulia region at the "heel" of Italy offers some of the most unique coastal scenery in Europe.   The unique geological conditions of the area have produced "sea stacks" and other highly distinctive-looking rock formations.  In this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Alessio Tricarico, you'll cruise along the Apulian coast near the town of Sant'Andrea, which lies on the northwestern-facing side of the heel along the Adriatic Sea.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

Cruise the coast of the Turkish Riviera in this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video by top contributor and FPV pilot babafpv.  The video was filmed near the town of Adrasan, which lies in the Mediterranean province of Antalya.  Adrasan lies near the broad "tip" of the Kos Peninsula, a landform which extends into the sea just west of the province's namesake capital city.  The peninsula lies near the eastern end of the Turkish Riviera, which runs for about 620 mi. (1k km) along the country's Aegean and Mediterranean coast.  

Check out these fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video from the coast of the Italian island of Sardinia, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot salva.tours.  The video was shot over the municipality of Baunei, which lies roughly midway down the island's eastern (Tyrrhenian Sea) coastline.  It's a relatively pristine stretch of coastline, well to the south of the popular beach areas on the island's northeastern side.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2022.   

While there's no universally agreed-upon definition of "Cinematic FPV", we know it when we see it.  And we definitely see it in this stunning coastal cruising piece by top AirVuz contributor PimpmyKwad.  Filmed at sunset, this is FPV flight optimized for the viewing experience, which is the essence of cinematic FPV.  His silky-smooth flight takes him way out over the water to a number of mini-islands, approaching each one for maximum cinematic effect.  The flight demonstrates precise control but at the same time is almost hypnotic.

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot FPVFlow used a 7 inch FPV drone to create this fantastic coastal cruising piece from the Mediteranean Sea.  The video was shot off the coast of Isola di Figarolo, a small island which lies off the coast of the larger Italian island of Sardinia, near the Gulf of Arancia in the northeastern part of Sardinia.   Stunningly cinematic, this video was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest in August, 2021.  

The Australian coastline provides endless ways to escape every day life and that's precisely what FPV pilot CLIFFORD FPV was seeking when he woke up that morning  His smooth, smooth flight skims over the calm waters off of New South Wales, and then he finds his ultimate flow by cruising between the pylons of a pier off the shore. The sweet symphony of these elements all coming together gave him just the moment of peace he was looking for. This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in March of 2020.

The largest of the Balearic Islands, the Spanish island of Mallorca is one of the top destinations in the entire Mediterranean region.  In this amazing piece by AirVuz contributor KristianFPV, you will see this legendary Southern European paradise from the perspective of a first person view (FPV) racing drone.   Featuring some outstanding coastal cruising over the island's famous rocky shoreline, this video was selected as a Finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest in late July, 2021.  

Bali Indonesia has it all when it comes to being an epic FPV location.  Plenty of cliffs to send a quadcopter surfing along and diving down, a rugged shore line to chase, and that exquisite water to soar over...so we're pretty happy that GrizzFPV had his packs charged and ready for this epic flight. His rig was equipped with Azure Power Pros and he captured the footage with an Xiaomi Yi 2 II 4K Action Cam.  We enjoyed this flight so much we had to add Grizz to our FPV Pilots to Watch list in March 2020.

Indonesia's tiny Gili Islands are one of the up-and-coming beach destinations in Southeast Asia.  The mini-archipelago consisting of Gili Tarangwan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air sit just off the northwestern coast of Lombok in the West Nusa Tengarra region, the eastern neighbor of the Bali region.  In this epic first person view (FPV) video by content creator and drone pilot KrissKwadd, you'll get to see Gili Tarangwan from an entirely new perspective - a racing drone!  This was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2019.

Check out this highly cinematic first person view (FPV) video from the French coast, compliments of AirVuz contributor Raphael Rablat.  The video was shot around the sand dunes near Biville in the Manche, the westernmost of the five departments of the region of Normandy.  The town lies on the western tip of the Cotentin Peninsula (also sometimes called the Cherbourg Peninsula), the landmass which forms the eastern side of the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel.  This video earned our contributor a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2020.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot JZFPV is back at it with another phenomenal, cinematic FPV freestyle flight.  He took his racing quad out over the legendary Big Sur, a stretch of Pacific Ocean coastline just south of California's Monterey Peninsula.  It's an excellent example of the emerging coastal sub-genre of FPV video content.  This highly cinematic piece was enough to land the talented content creator on our AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in December of 2019. 

An overseas department of France, Guadeloupe is a group of exotic, tropical islands in the eastern Caribbean Sea. The islands’ volcanic soil, mixed with the heat and rainfall they see, are what produce that incredibly lush and diversified vegetation. Filled with forests, swamps, waterfalls, sandy beaches, and gorgeous waters the islands are a top tourist destination. PikaFPV takes us on a first-person-view drone journey through one of the islands in this video that earned him a spot on our FPV Pilots to Watch list. 

Take a ride filled with views and relaxation in this FPV video, courtesy of AirVuz contributor and pilot Flylifeco. The Colorado-based pilot has headed out to the Pacific coast of the United States, flying his mini quad over the rocky ledges and rolling coastline of California. The state’s coastline is around 840 miles long, most of which is characterized by the steep cliffs and terraces like the ones seen in this FPV video.  This was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in November, 2019.

Explore the fabled French Mediterranean island of Corsica by FPV drone in this amazing video by bj-drone, which was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2023.  Most of the footage was captured along the coast of the island, which is the fourth-largest in the Mediterranean.  The video opens with a flyby of one of the island's coastal defensive towers, followed by a series of long, pefectly-flown beach "skims".  Another highlight is at about the 1:20 mark, where you'll see the Genoese Parate, on Corsica's western coast.  

Southern Portugal is home to some of the most unusual (and beautiful) coastal rock formations in Europe.   These caves and complex offshore rock structures lie along a stretch of the country's southern coastline in the region of Algarve, between the towns of Lagos and Albufeira.  This seascape makes for some outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video footage, as you'll see in this amazing piece from top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot CataFpv.  The video was captured with a GoPro Hero 11 action camera.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot ShinyFPV has carved out a great spot in the FPV sub-genre of FPV coastal cruising - flying FPV-equipped racing quads in a highly cinematic style over beautiful coastal spots and beaches.   His smooth, cinematic, long-range flights over the ocean and across the beaches are always a visual treat to watch.  This flight, taken while on a camping trip off the USA's West (Pacific Ocean) Coast, earned him a Pilots to Watch list spot in March of 2019.

With its spectacular rock formations, cove beaches, and iconic lighthouses, Portugal offers some of the finest coastal scenery in Europe, much of it perfect for adventurous (and expeienced) FPV drone pilots.  In this video by AirVuz contributor Scottyblue77, you'll ride along for an epic tour of Portugal's Atlantic coastline on a trip that ran from the surfing capital of Nazaré in the central part of the coast, down through the Portuguese Riviera near Lisbon, and continuing into the Algarve, Metropolitan Portugal's southernmost region.   

Check out this stunning video of Santa Barbara, California by accomplished pilot JZFPV. The former Drone Video Awards nominee in our Extreme Sports category is taking his skills to the beach, highlighting one of the reasons the central California city is so famous. Sandwiched between the Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, the area is known for its dramatic views, Mediterranean-style white stucco buildings and Spanish colonial heritage. This was an FPV Pilots to Watch piece in December of 2019. 

The Kara Dag is a volcanic rock formation in Crimea. It lies between the coastal town of Koktebel and the Otuzka River Valley and is part of the Crimean Mountains. The area surrounding the dormant volcano has been a protected nature reserve since 1979. The area is absolutely stunning and can be seen in this outstanding first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot craig_dt. This video earned the talented pilot and content creator an AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch nod in August of 2019. 

FPV pilot Haliticfpv packed his FPV racing quad on his trip to Ireland with his wife, and properly put his resources to use to take in a crazy good flight along the water's edge in County Kerry.  The rocky coast was just asking for his drone to surf along its jagged edges, and the steep rock wall with the pounding waves seemed to be calling him too.  This video is part FPV masterpiece and part creative tourism marketing for this inspiring coastline, and we're pretty sure it's not just the Irish eyes that are smiling as they watch.

The shoreline surrounding Los Cabos, Mexico, has never looked so good. Brought to us by first person view (FPV) pilot soropeza, this video showcases just why the resort town is such a popular destination. Also known as Cabo San Lucas, it is known for it water-based activities, nightlight, and the incredible open beaches surrounded by intricate cliffs - all of which can be seen here in HD quality. For his efforts, soropeza was rewarded with a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in November of 2019. 

See the beauty of Northern Ireland's coastline in this first-person-view (FPV) video by talented pilot JZFPV.  Watch as he takes us out to the shoreline of the region in the United Kingdom that occupies about one-sixth of the island of Ireland, separated by the UK by the North Channel.  Like the rest of the island, Northern Ireland is known as much as anything for the spectacular cliffs along its coastline.  Capturing this beautiful coastline by FPV, JZFPV earned himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October, 2019.  

Name a better way to start your day than with a few beach laps with your first person view (FPV) racing quad.  Wait, we've got one.  How about taking a few laps flying FPV with your buddy, formation style?!   This air-to-air action, brought to you by FPV pilot LonnoFPV, looks like one heck of a time. He’ll take on the wide open beach early in the day as the waves gently lap on to shore. The proximity work he’ll do with the quad he’s chasing is pretty impressive.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2019.

Team AirVuz pilot Tomz made the wise decision to channel his pent up energy and make a cruise around the brilliantly blue waters off of Greece.  While a quarantine may keep the humans at home, or at the very least - politely socially distant - it certainly doesn't mean FPV drones like those of Tomz can't be in the air.  This pilot consistently cranks out incredible freestyle flights, and you just have to check out his AirVuz profile to see why this pilot also consistently makes it onto our FPV Pilots to Watch list.

Take in these magnificent first person view (FPV) drone views from the coast of the Mediterranean island of Sardinia, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot salva.tours.  The video was filmed over a stretch of coast around Cala Goloritze, a famous beach area which lies roughly halfway down the island's long eastern coastline on the Tyrrhenian Sea, a large inlet of the Mediterranean which is formed by the mainland of Italy in the east and the islands of Sardinia, Corsica, and Sicily to the west and south. 

When we talk about locations that look so much better in first person view (FPV), this one is a perfect example. Featured in FPV Pilot to Watch, January 18th, 2019 JP brings us to Las Gredas de Bolnuevo. The heavily eroded sandstone formations along the beaches of Bolnuevo, Murcia, Spain have been shaped by water and wind over thousands of years. The area is also called Ciudad Encantada or "enchanted city," hence the name of the video. It's a unique and incredible area made magical by this smooth and tight flight. 

Check out these amazing first person view (FPV) drone views from a famous spot on the coast of Spain, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Dani Doncel.  It's a tiny islet called Gaztelugatxe, and it's located on the Bay of Biscay in the semi-autonomous Basque Country region.  Connected to the mainland by a small bridge, the island is topped by a thousand year old bridge.  The islet gained renewed fame when it became a filming location for HBO's hit series Game of Thrones as the site of the mythical Dragonstone castle.  

It’s a simple video, but one that is filled with spectacular views of the Irish coastline by first person view (FPV) pilot JZFPV. The Drone Video Awards nominee takes us on a quick stroll through the small town he stayed at while visiting Ireland. He’ll make his way over the quaint village and seaside hotels, then take us out on the water for some coastal surfing. He gets pretty close to the water while over the coast, but the risk is worth it for the beautiful views he’s captured; this was a FPV Pilots to Watch pick in September, 2019.

Talented AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot GrizzFPV continues to impress with his FPV videos from the eastern reaches of Indonesia.  The video was filmed on the small island of Biak, one of a group of smaller islands which lies off the coast of the giant island of New Guinea.  The specific location filmed is the area around Samares Beach, which lies on a bay on the northeastern side of Biak.  Featuring some excellent coastal FPV cruising shots, this video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in November, 2021.   

The milky, strawberry sky in this cinematic first-person view (FPV) flight by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Gareth Hayman seem straight out of a dream. That dream-like state continues in his flying style, which is so buttery smooth and intentional you truly feel like you are one with the quad. Long Reef Headland in Sydney, Australia is where Gareth flew to make this video.  Located in the Northern Beaches area a short distance from central Sydney; it's an area known as one of the most interesting geological places in the area. 

In this outstanding video by AirVuz contributor Hugo LE CORF, you'll get a first person view (FPV) drone tour of a storied stretch of coastline in northwestern France.  The video was filmed along the coast of the department of Côtes d’Armor, which covers about half the northern side of the Breton Peninsula.   The video features footage from the following locations, most of which lie along a stretch known as the Pink Granite Coast: Pordic, Binic, Saint-Quay-Portrieux, Tréveneuc, Perros-Guirec, Ploumanach, and Gwin Zégale

Check out the Black Sea coast of Russia from an entirely new perspective in this first person view (FPV) video by contributor and FPV pilot craig_dt.  He strapped on his FPV goggles and took his racing quad out for a spin on the sea's northeastern shore near Tuapse, which is about a two hour drive northwest (along the coast) from 2014 Olympic Host City Sochi.  The video provides an amazing perspective skimming along the beautiful cliff-lined waters, where he encounters some canoes as well as a giant yacht.  

One of Spain’s Balearic Islands, Mallorca is known for its fabulous beach restarts, sheltered coves, and limestone mountains. Pilot Parasite FPV takes us along the gorgeous island in this coastal first person view (FPV) drone flight. Here you’ll see those azure, sheltered coves, limestone cliff sides at water’s edge, and the most stunningly clear water as he surfs the coast with his mini quad. He flew an ImpuseRC Alien Slammed 5-inch frame with a GoPro Hero 7 Black “Hypersmooth” to create this video.

Check out this short freestyle first person view (FPV) flight around a part of the island of O’ahu, Hawaii, courtesy of top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot NonexistentJay. O’ahu is home to the state’s capital, Honolulu, the infamous Waikki beach and nightlife area, as well as the historic Pearl Harbor site with its USS Arizona Memorial. NonexistentJay is showing us a quieter part of the island, near a house on one of the rockier edges where he’ll fly over the ledge and surf the waves with his quad. 

England's County Cornwall offers some of the best coastal scenery in the United Kingdom.  Occupying the southwestern corner of the island of Great Britain, it's a perfect backdrop for first person view (FPV) drone pilots to display their flying skills.  Top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot theytooktony does just that in this excellent bit of FPV coastal cruising, which was filmed at Fistral and Godrevy Beaches on Cornwall's northern coast.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2021.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot fpv_kuskov earned a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in November, 2022 with this fantastic piece from the fabled Indonesian province of Bali.  The video was filmed on the coast of Nusa Penida, which is a small "satellite" island just to the southeast of the larger island of Bali, across the body of water known as the Bandung Strait.  Nusa Penida is in turn surrounded by about a dozen smaller islands, which you'll see in the video.  

Get an entirely new perspective on France's D-Day beaches in this fantastic piece by AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot cyp fpv.  He flew a racing drone out over the stretch of the Normandy coastline which was the landing point for the giant Allied invasion of occupied France that commenced on June 6, 1944.  Flying some distance from the shore, he was able to film the remnants of the giant artificial harbor which was created here in the wake of the invasion to reinforce and resupply the massive invasion force.  

If you've ever dreamed of flying like a bird over the South of France, this first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor Raphael Rablat.   The talented FPV pilot, who previously made the FPV Pilots to Watch list for his video from France's Normandy coast, heads south for a cruise along the Cap Estérel.  The small promontory along the Mediterranean Sea is situated just a few km/mi east of the town of Frejus, and about three times that distance to the southwest of the better-known town of Cannes.  

This is one stunning sunrise, first person view (FPV) freestyle flight by AirVuz contributor and pilot Ross2046. He’s found Southwold Pier in the English county of Suffolk. The pier extends 190 meters (620 feet) in to the North Sea. Although many other English, seaside piers are in decline, this pier remains as popular as ever, thanks in part to its collection of coin-operated novelty machines. Built in 1900 as a landing stage for steamships bringing tourists from London, see the historic pier in this FPV video. 

Ccontributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Parasite FPV managed to find a dream spot to fly his racing quad.  It's a coastal sea cave, and it has one of the coolest gaps we've ever seen.  The video has a great setup, flyng above a coastal ridge before turning around to see what's below it.  Just before the :30 mark, you'll see what this video is all about - it's a a seemingly impossibly tight tunnel through the rock.  When you watch what he does, you'll understand why this video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2020.

Cruise along the waters of Italy's Ligurian Sea in this excellent first person view (FPV) piece by AirVuz contributor WAKI FPV.  The video was filmed near the commune of Finale Ligure, on the Gulf of Genoa in the province of Savona.  The gulf is considered an inlet of the Ligurian Sea, itself a large inlet of the Mediterranean Sea.  This area is part of the Italian Riviera, which (depending on definition) covers all or most of the coast of the region of Liguria.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2021. 

Talented AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot punkoutnz brings us this stunningly cinematic FPV piece from the coast of New Zealand.  Considered by many to be the world's most beautiful country, New Zealand is known as much as anything for its stunning coastal scenes like what you'll see here in this video. The video was filmed along the Tasman Sea, which separates the two main islands of New Zealand from Australia to the west.  It's a great example of the emerging art of cinematic coastal FPV flight videos. 

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot ironvanden_fpv earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in April of 2023 with this fantastic FPV drone video of Ko Phi Phi Le in tropical Thailand.  Somewhat less known than its sister island of Ko Phi Phi Don, which lies to its north, Ko Phi Phi Le is the second-largest of the Phi Phi Islands, an archipelago in the Andaman Sea in the southern province of Krabi.   Ko Phi Phi Le covers about 2.5 square mi. (just under 7 square km).  

The colors in this first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot mattw1029 are stunning.  The video was filmed on the island of Aruba, a territory of the Netherlands situated in the southern Caribbean Sea.  The white sands and palm tree-laden beach is nearly wide open, leaving plenty of space for some highly cinematic FPV flight.  It's a great example of the emerging FPV content sub-genre known as coastal FPV, in which some of the world's top beach and coastal spots can be seen from a new perspective.

Top contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot RussellFPV earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list with this fantastic piece from JeJu Island in South Korea.  South Korea's largest island was formed by a volcanic eruption that occurred on the sea floor about two million years ago.  The island has a land area of about 708 square mi (a little over 1.8k square km), and it features 160 mi. (around 260) km of coastline.  It's located in the Korean Strait, more or less due south from the soutwestern corner of the mainland.  

Rawai Beach in Phuket, Thailand, is known for its bright, blue water that you’ll often find tourists and locals alike swimming and boating in. It also has nearby seafood restaurants and markets to explore. You can see this popular spot from an entirely new perspective in this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video by bilsonfpv. Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) video alessandrodionisivm earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this outstanding FPV piece from the coast of southern Italy.  The video was shot near the beach town of Marina di Zambrone.  It's located in the province of Vibo Valentia in the Calabria Region.  Situated at the top of the "foot" of the Italian Peninsula, the beach faces north towards the Tyrrhenian Sea, the large Mediterranean inlet formed by the Italian mainland and the islands of Sicily, Sardinia, and Corsica.  

The USA's Pacific Northwestern coastline is home to some of the most ideal spots in the world for coastal first person view (FPV) drone flight.  Particularly along the Oregon (southern) stretch, the landscape/seascape is one of gigantic offshore rock formations, pristine sand beaches, and coastal dunes.  It's perfect for adventurous and skilled FPV pilots, as you'll see in this outstanding video by top AirVuz contributor bosstalkpro.  A Finalist for the DVOW in April of 2024, the video captures his highlights along the Oregon coast.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot yedi.fpb earned himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2020 with this beautiful coastal cruising piece from Australia.  The video was filmed at Bribie Island, which forms the northern part of Moreton Bay in the eastern state of Queensland.  While the noorthern part of the island is largely uninhabited, its southern portion is considered part of the Moreton Bay Region, which constitutes the northern part of Greater Brisbane.  

Stretching for thousands of kilometers/miles, Australia's coastline offers endless possibilities for skilled first person view (FPV) pilots to capture stunning coastal cruising footage.  That's what top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Ruben Caser to create this short-but-spectacular piece, which was picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in early November of 2020.  Ruben's video "Dronie by FPV" was picked as the Winner in the Dronie category for the 2020 New York City Drone Film Festival.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot RobGrooveFpV brings us this fantastic FPV video from the famed Greek island of Corfu.  The video follows an Axopar 37 Sun Top Brabus Edition cruiser as it plies the waters around the Agia Pelagia area on the northern part of the island.  In addition to some spectacular "chase" type footage, the video features some amazing shots flying along the Corfu coastline.  The video concludes with a spectacular dive down a hill into a partially secluded cove.  

Newcastle, Australia, is a harbor city located on the South Pacific Ocean. The city’s plentiful beaches are all connected by the Bathers Way coastal walk. It stretches between Nobbys Beach and Merewether Beach and can be seen zipping along the sharp, rocky coastline in this first person view (FPV) video by talented AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot CLIFFORD FPV. He’ll open along the cliff’s edge, then follow Bathers Way to the rolling waves of the ocean as they lap Bogey Hole, a heritage-listed sea bath in Newcastle.

Located in the heart of the Tyrrhenian Sea on the island of Sardinia, Tuerredda Beach is a famous stop for tourists and locals alike. The beach is popular because of its Caribbean-style white sand, snorkeling, and pedal boats for hire. It is located on the headlands of Cape Teulada, just west of Lose Longa and Sa Pinnetta on the southern coast of the Italian island. This video, by pilot Daviz Fpv explores the beach via FPV drone, showing us how the blue of the water matches the blue of the sky, cut only by the crystal sands of the beach.

Uitgeest is a town in the Netherlands’ province of North Holland. The birthplace of the man who invented the wind-powered sawmill, many of those iconic looking structures can be seen in the area.  Talented AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot anotonvs fpv was in the town to take in some midsummer sailing. Using his FPV racing quad mounted with an HD camera, he’ll capture the captains as they coast along the still water, gliding through the setting sun which casts purple and pink reflections on the water.

Take a cruise along the coast of Norway in this epic first person view (FPV) piece by AirVuz contributor fure_fpv.  Using a long-range setup, he takes an 8 km (roughly 5 mi.) flight on the coast of the island of Godøya.  Godøya is part of the municipality of Ålesund in Møre og Romsdal, one of the main counties of the official Western Norway region.  The video features some excellent footage skimming along the mountains which run parallel to the coastline.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in January, 2021.  

The Italian island of Sardinia is famous for its stunning coastal scenery, which includes semi-hidden cove beaches and magnificent cliffs and rock formations.  In this video by top AirVuz contributor rcwolf, you'll get to explore the coastline of this legendary Mediterranean island through the lens of a first person view (FPV) drone.  Ride along for some stunning views of Sardinia's rocky shoreline, clear blue waters, and sandy beaches.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2023.  

The area of Japan's Tokyo Islands extends overs a massive area, extending from the great city of Tokyo to the southernmost Okino-Torishima and the easternmost island Minami-Torishima, with a total of 219 island of various sizes spread out across the sea. His moves are slick and the views are fantastic, putting the Tokyo Islands on our travel bucket list.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot salva.tours brings us this stunning coastal FPV piece from a famous beach on the Italian island of Sardinia.  It's called Cala Luna, and it's located at the head of the Gulf of Orosei, a shallow bay which runs along the center part of the island's eastern coast on the Tyrrhenian Sea (the inlet of the Mediterranean which separates Sardinia from the Italian mainland).  It is widely considered to be one of the finest if not the finest beach on the island.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot YoseGonFPV brings us this highly cinematic FPV video from Spain's Canary Islands.  The video was filmed on near the town of Vallehermoso on the western coast of La Gomera, one of the smaller of the Canary Islands, which are located off the coast of North Africa.  Vallehermoso is the second-largest town on the island, which has a total population of fewer than 25k permanent residents and is located just to the west of Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands.   

For a great example of the fine art of cinematic coastal first person view (FPV) surfing, check out this fantastic piece by brand-new AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot lee_stevenson_fpv.  He calls it "Ghosties Beach", and when you watch it you'll see why.  His racing quad effortlessly cruises over Ghosties Beach, which lies in the Australian state of New South Wales, roughly halfway between Sydney and Newcastle.  The opening shot is epic as he cruises in parallel to an incoming wave, the rising eastern sun in the background.

The coast of Australia is the idyllic setting for this highly cinematic first person view (FPV) drone video by top contributor and FPV pilot CLIFFORD FPV.  Super smooth, the video is an example of how FPV coastal cruising has evolved past the stage where pilots would be happy simply getting their quad back to safety.  Watch as he hugs tightly to the rocks along the coast as he heads into the brilliant sun ahead.  This video was picked as a Finalist for the AirVuz Drone Video of the Week contest in June of 2020.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot GosHawkFPV takes us on a epic cruise along the coast of Wales in this fantastic video.  The title is accurate - he is cruising at an altitude so low you can just about smell the saltwater.  You'll also ride along just inches above the rocky coastline.  It makes for some mesmerizing visuals, and demonstrates some very impressive FPV piloting skills.  No wonder this video was chosen by the AirVuz staff as a pick for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in April of 2021.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Ollie FPV brings us this fantastic FPV piece from Iceland's famous Reynisfjara Beach.  Located near the town of Vik at the southern tip of this North Atlantic island nation, Reynisfjara is known for both its distinctive black sand as well as its stunning offshore basalt rock columns.  It makes for a stunning backdrop to this highly cinematic video and a worthy addition to the coastal FPV sub-genre.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September, 2020. 

A hook shaped peninsula in Massachusetts, Cape Cod is a famous summertime destination for the city-dwellers of the United State’s east coast. Known for its quaint villages, seafood, lighthouses, and bays it’s no surprise FPV pilot richrd found a gorgeous place to fly at sunset. He’s taking in the seaside views, spectacular sunset, and calm waters that a pair of paddle boarders are gliding across. It looks like he’s reversed some of the shots in post-production, while in others he was just floating backwards. 

The El Nido area of the Philippines is one of the world's most famous beach destinations; it routinely shows up at the top of authoritative surveys of most-desired beach vacation trips.  In this amazing video by AirVuz contributor Wild Sky Visuals,  you'll explore fabled El Nido via a first person view (FPV) drone.  El Nido is located at the northern end of Palawan, the westernmost major island in the Philippine archipelago.  This video was picked for the FPV PIlots to Watch list in January of 2023.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Gareth Hayman earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list with this fantastic piece from the coast of Australia.  The video was shot near the Sea Cliff Bridge, which runs across the face of a coastal rock formation known as the Illawarra.  The area is located in the southeastern state of New South Wales, about an hour's drive to the south of the city of Sydney.  The drone used to capture the footage was a Luma55 Prototype 5.5" quad.  

North Cape is in the northwestern-most part of Prince Edwards Island, one of the Maritime Provinces of eastern Canada. A two kilometer (1.2 mile) long natural rock reef extends out from the cape and is reportedly the longest of its kind (composed of sedimentary rock) in North America. You can see that natural rock reef in this freestyle first person view (FPV) flight by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot LevesqueFPV, who takes us out on a bright, cloudless day to the rocky, gorgeous Canadian landscape.

Top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Harley Queen FPV brings us this highly cinematic coastal cruising video from Phillip Island in southern Australia.  The southern breakwater of the large tidal bay known as Western Port in the state of Victoria, the island is connected to the mainland town of San Remo.  Located about a 90 minute drive from Melbourne, the island is a popular getaway for residents from Australia's second-largest city.  This video earned our talented content creator a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2020.  

Top contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot salva.tours brings us this outstanding FPV video from a famous beach on the Italian island of Sardinia.  It's called Su Giudeu Beach, and it's located one of of the peninsulas at the southern tip of the island, about an hour's drive south of Cagliari (the main city of southern Sardinia).  In a single shot, you'll cruise along the the mains stretch of the beach, skimming just inches about the water, then turn out to sea to fly between the two tiny islands which lie just offshore.  

For a great example of cinematic coastal first person view (FPV) drone cruising, check out this piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot GrizzFPV.  The spot filmed is the town of Sorindiweri, which lies on the northern coast of the island of Superiori.  The island is part of the Schouten Islands archipelago, a chain of islands in the country's province of Papua.  The islands lie to the north of New Guinea, the giant island which is shared between Indonesia and the nation of Papua New Guinea.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot nikofilmz has carved out a niche in the very demanding art of formation flight - essentially, one FPV mini-quad chasing another.  It's extremely difficult to pull off even in wide open spaces with no obstacles - even at a relatively close following distance, that lead quad is TINY in the FPV goggles.  In this amazing video, he brings us a chase scene along a much more challenging (as well as cinematic) course - along the beach in San Diego, California.  

This outstanding first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot MrFpv combines aspects of classic coastal cinematic FPV with the difficult art of chasing moving subjects.  Filmed in the coastal town of Chekka in northern Lebanon, the video does a great job of capturing the beautiful cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.  The real focus of the video though is chasing - in this case, an obviously very skilled surfer on a powered surfboard.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June, 2020.

Cruise along the fabled New Jersey Shore in this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot LUK.  The video was filmed over Belmar Beach, which is located towards the northern end of the New Jersey coastline, just south of the entrance to Sandy Hook Bay.  The video does a great job of incorporating some stabilized shots from a DJI Air 2S into the mix to give you a wider view of the scene.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December of 2022.  

Top AirVuz contributor and skilled first person view (FPV) pilot Gareth Haymen takes us on an epic cruise along a remote spot on the Australian coast.  It's called Horsehead Rock, and it's located near the southern coastline of New South Wales.  It's part of a region known as the Saphire coast, roughly halfway between the cities of Sydney (at the northern end of the NSW coast) and Melbourne in the neighboring state of Victoria.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in April, 2021.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot salva.tours brings us this stuinning FPV coastal cruising piece from Italy's San Pietro Island.  San Pietro is a small satellite island of Sardinia, the Mediterranean's second-largest island after Sicily.  San Pietro, which covers a land area of about 20 square mi. (around 51 square km), is situated off Sardinia's southwesern coast.   The video incudes some great footage of the rock columns near Carloforte, the island's main settlement, on the eastern coastline.  

Get a unique perspective of one of the most iconic spots in France in this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video by brand-new AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Axel FPV.  He used an FPV mini-quad to cinematically film the famous rock formations and chalk cliffs of Étretat, a town in the Seine-Maritime Department (part of the official region of Normandy).   Situated on the English Channel coastline a few mi/km north of Le Havre, Étretat is best known for the formation known as the "Needle", which features prominently in the video.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot pioandreaperi brings us this excellent FPV video from the coast of the giant Italian island of Sicily.  The video was shot over and around the tiny Isola Bella, an islet which lies just off the Sicilian coast near the town of Taormina on Sicily's eastern coast, roughly halfway between the cities of Catania (to the south) and Messina (to the north).  Privately owned for centuries, the tiny island came under control of the regional government of Sicily in 1990.  

Explore the Philippines in this magnificent first person view (FPV) drone travel reel by top AirVuz contributor and pilot kalash.fpv.  Much of the video was shot in the western province of Palawan; here you'll see the famous El Nido beach area on the northern side of Palawan Island, as well as the small satellite island of Miniloc.  You'll also explore the island of Boracay, which is one of the main islands in the Central Visayan sub-archipelago.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in November, 2022.  

To see why the Italian island of Sardinia is becoming something of a magnet for adventurous first person view (FPV) drone pilots, check out this fantastic video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Sardegna World.  It was filmed skimming along Doctor's Beach (Spiaggia del dottore).  The beach lies on the southern side of Cape Ceraso, the northern side of which forms part of the Gulf of Olbia.  As you'll see in the video, there's not a soul in sight, allowing this skilled pilot to take full advantage of the spectacular coastal scenery.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot MansourFpvDz earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August of 2023 with this excellent FPV video cruising the Mediterranean Sea coastline of northern Algeria.  The video was filmed on El Kala Tarf Beach, which is located near the eastern end of Algeria's long Mediterranean coastline, about 55 mi. (90 km) east of Annaba (Algeria's third-largest city and most important industrial center) and only a few miles west of th border with neighboring Tunisia.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) mini quad pilot Parasite FPV takes us to the remote, tiny village of Portals Vells in Majorca, Spain. The beaches there have been called “hidden gems” by tourists who stumble upon them due to the crystal clear water and smooth, sandy coastlines.  You can see just how clear the aquamarine water is along the rocky coastline, dotted with unique Mediterranean trees and idyllic homes. This flight earned Parasite FPV an FPV Pilots to Watch honor in February of 2019.

Miami, Florida is generally considered the water sports recreational capital of the USA.  The city and its suburbs surround Biscayne Bay, whose warm, protected waters are ideal for activities ranging from jetskiing to poweryachting.  In this first person view (FPV) piece from top AirVuz contributor NonexistentJay, you'll get a unique perspective of the SoFlo aquatic recreation scene from the perspective of a mini-quad.  Watch him chase personal watercraft, tear up boat marinas, and buzz the seaside condos in this water-wonderland.

Check out this highly cinematic first person view (FPV) drone video from an island off the coast of Norway, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot VladFPV.   Engeløya is part of the municipality of Steigen in Nordland County, the second-to-northernmost county of Norway.  The video features a shot flying along the Engeløy Bridges, a series of two bridges which connect the island to the Norwegian mainland via the small intervening island of Ålstadøya; these spans were opened in 1978.    

Explore the Italian region of Calabria in this fantastic first person view (FPV) done video by AIrVuz contributor alessandrodionisivm, which was picked by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September of 2022.  Calabria is located at the "toe" of peninsular Italy which consists of five provinces.  This video was shot primarily along the region's northern coastline along the Tyrrhenian Sea, an inlet of the Mediterranean Sea formed by the Italian mainland and the large islands of Sicily, Sardinia, and Corsica.  

Take a flight through beautiful Savona, Italy in this first person view (FPV) run by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot frankcitro. Savona is a port city in the Liguria region of northwestern Italy, and is well is known for its mountain views overlooking the Ligurian Sea. Those mountain and seaside views are the focus of this flight. He’ll open with shots running up and diving down the mountains, then close things out with a coastal flight. This was an FPV Pilots to Watch video in January of 2019. 

Somewhere off the coast of eastern Australia is a keyhole-sized gap in a giant rock which appears to have been waiting for millions of years for this moment.  Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Ruben Caser seized the moment to hit this gap.  He didn't stop there, though.  As you'll see in the video, upon exit he flies a power-loop and does it (in one shot) again, before flying off into the sunset.  It was more than enough to earn him a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in February of 2023.   

The Brittany region of northwestern France is home to some of Europe's most spectacular coastal scenery, so it's perhaps no surprise that it's become something of a magnet for skilled first person view (FPV) drone pilots.  In this outstanding piece by brand new contributor See My View, you'll be treated to some epic views from the coast of Côtes-d'Armor, which covers the northern coast of the Breton Peninsula and is one of the four departments which make up the official region of Brittany.
