Mount Gongga Shan |Tibet

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Top AirVuz contributor T-christ-T brings us this absolutely stunning drone video of China's Mt. Gongga, one of the world's highest peaks.  Also known as Minya Konka, it lies in the Chinese province of Sichuan.  With a peak altitude of 24.8k ft. above sea level (7.5k m), it's the world's third-highest mountain outside of the Himalayan Mountain complex.  Part of the Daxue Mountains (themselves part of the broader Hengduan range) it's also the most isolated peak in the world above 23k ft. (7k m).

Mount Gongga Shan|Tibet

I used different perspectives to show the details and magnificence of Gongga shan. The advantage of the guide is that in addition to avoiding getting lost, he takes you to the nomads' homes for meals and the night. He also explains a little about their lifestyle and customs (even if communication was not necessarily easy)… Gongga shan Mountain (Minya Konka in Tibetan) is located in Kangding County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Its main peak, with an altitude of 7,556 meters, is the highest peak in the Hengduan Mountains. Mount Gongga shan is the easternmost peak among the peaks with an altitude of over 7,000 meters, and is the highest peak in Sichuan Province, so it is renowned as "The King of Sichuan Mountains". It is 29 kilometers of horizontal distance and 6,556 meters of the largest relative height difference from the Dadu River Valley on the southern slope of Minya Konka to the main peak of Minya Konka, which creates the vertical variation and biological and climate diversity, and the world's rare ecological landscape with a complete vegetation area and a clear level.
