Tsz Shan Monastery - Guan Yin statue
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Contributor and pilot Philip Chow created this drone video of one of the world's tallest statues. It's a rendering of the Buddhist goddess Guanyin, and it's located in the Tsz Shan Monastery in Hong Kong's Tai Po District. The bronze figure stands 76 meters tall (around 250 ft.) and is the tallest of its kind. The monastery complex opened in 2015, and only 400 people a day are permitted to visit. Much of the construction cost was funded by Hong Kong billionaire and shipping magnate Li Ka-shing.
