AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Take an aerial tour of one of France's largest island in this fantastic drone video by DRHON-EL. Île de Ré, which is located northwest of La Rochelle in the Charente-Maritime Department, is the second-largest on the French Atlantic coastline. The video opens with a shot of the 17th century Fort de La Prée on the eastern side of the island. Next up is the Abbaye des Châteliers, a 12th century monastery. Other highlights include the town of Saint-Martin-de-Ré (first seen at the 1:00 mark) and the Phare des Baleines lighthouse (3:50).
