If you’ve ever wondered how to get your drone videos featured on AirVūz.com, or just noticed in general – listen up. We’ve put together 5 things that every great drone video has and what your drone video needs.
Step 1 – Make sure your video has aerial footage right off the top! Yes, sponsors and self-promotion are important, but the numbers show videos that start with moving, aerial images are watched more often and for longer periods of time.
Step 2 – Be different. We’ve all seen drone videos of beaches and drone videos of mountains, how does your piece stand out? Maybe you feature someone in a yoga pose on a beach by drone? Or, throw in a cool filter over your drone mountain video? Find inspiration on your favorite pilot’s AirVuz.com profiles.
Step 3 – Take the time to create an enticing thumbnail image. We’ve seen some fantastic drone videos that don’t get the attention they deserve because the thumbnail is too generic. It only takes a few extra moments to customize you image, but it can make a huge difference!
Step 4 – Your title, description and keywords matter. Using your location and some other attention grabber almost guarantee eyes will be on your drone video. Shooting winter scenes in Iceland? Name your video “Winter in Iceland!” It’s that easy – we promise. But, say you like your video’s funky name? Keep it! Just make sure to include your location, what type of drone you’re using, what you’re shooting, and anything unique about your piece in the keywords and description.
Step 5 – Promote and share your work with your community! On forums? Link your AirVuz.com video right there to show a fellow member how the much you loved working with your DJI Mavic. Share your AirVuz.com videos on Facebook and Twitter and use the #AirVuz – we’ll notice and retweet that awesome drone video of South Africa! Plus, the more you share, the more eyes will be on your video and we all know high view counts always catch people’s attention.
Don’t forget to be a part of the AirVūz community. Take the time to let other people know what you think of their work – follow your fellow Vūzers and help us promote that drones are good. After all, we are all #UnitedByDrone.
