Top AirVuz contributor druno earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this fantastic FPV video of one of the great cultural treasures of Italy: the Florence Cathedral.  Formally known as the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower, it's part of the Piazza del Duomo in the heart of the city which is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance.  One of the world's largest churches, it was constructed over a 150 year period beginning around 1300.  The video includes footage of the adjoining Baptistery and Giotto's Campanile.   

Check out these magnificent first person view (FPV) drone views of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy by top AirVuz contributor Mauro Pagliai.  One of the great landmarks of the Antiquity, the great open-air stadium was built in the first century AD and could hold up to 80k spectactors.   Its uses included gladiator contests, executions, re-enactments of military battles, and dramatizations of Roman mythology.  In 2007, the Colosseum was picked as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This video was a DVOW Finalist.  

Legendary first person view (FPV) pilot JohnnyFPV has probably done more than anyone on the planet to introduce highly cinematic FPV footage into the main stream.  Whether it's filming commercials for Porsche or shooting FPV footage for the big-budget feature film Red Notice, he is at the forefront of this emerging art form.  No surprise then that he was tapped by the National Football League to help create promotional footage for the 2022 Pro Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, some of which you'll see in this epic video. 

Top AirVuz creator and FPV pilot Mauro Sciambi brings us this stunning video - a nominee for 2023 FPV Drone Video of the Year - in which he flies his FPV quad through the roof of the Pantheon, one of the great landmarks of Rome.  Originally a Roman temple, the great structure dates to the reign of the emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD; it was converted to a Christian church in the 7th century AD.  Considered one of the best-preserved relics of the Roman Empire, it's the burial place of numerous artists as well as two Kings of Italy.  

You may have seen drone video of France's Mont Saint-Michel, the tidal island which lies off the coast of Normandy.  However, you've probably never seen anything like this first-person view (FPV) video of the great 8th-century monastery-fortress which sits atop the island, compliments of contributor and FPV pilot Fincky.  He used an FPV racing quad to create a highly cinematic view of one of France's most iconic sites, it's no wonder why this video earned a nomination in the Cinematic FPV category at the 6th Annual NYCDFF.

To see the power of cinematic first-person view (FPV) video, check out this stunning piece from the ruins of ancient Rome by former Drone Video Award winner Druno.  He was able to fly his FPV quadcopter through the Forum, the heart of Imperial Rome, and one of the world's most famous archaeological sites.  Opening with a shot of the Colosseum, he heads into the great public square immediately to its northwest (between the Colosseum and the Pantheon), which was the heart of the Roman Republic and later Imperial Rome.  

The desert kingdom of Dubai does everything big - among other superlatives, it's home to the world's tallest skyscraper, fastest rollercoaster, and the largest indoor theme park.  In 2021, it secured yet another honor by becoming home to the world's tallest observation wheel: the 820 ft. (250 m) Ain Dubai, which is situated on the artificial Bluewaters Island in the Marina District.  In this amazing video, you'll see the behemoth from the perspective of a first-person view (FPV) racing drone, compliments of FPV pilot 43lensfpv.  

Located in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, the Great Mosque of Central Java can be seen by first person view (FPV) drone, courtesy of AirVuz contributor BanzaiFPV. The mosque covers 25 acres and has three central buildings arranged in the shape of a U with the domed mosque at the centre. In the central courtyard are six hydraulically operated umbrellas; closed in this video, they are used to protect worshipers from the rain or sun and represent the six tenets of iman. This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in November, 2019.

Get a rare look at a major Baltic Sea container port in this excellent first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot FPV_Aerials.  He was able to film the Port of Gdańsk, which lies along the Bay of Gdańsk, an inlet of the Baltic.  Poland's principal seaport and the economic engine of its fourth-largest metropolitan area, the port handles about two million containers per year and about 50 million tons of freight overall.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in early March of 2022.  

Top AirVuz content creator druno secured a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this epic FPV video of Italy's great Milan Cathedral.  Dedicated to the Nativity of Mary, construction of the great edifice began in 1386 but wasn't completed until the 1960's - nearly six centuries later.  With a length of 520 ft. (159 m) and a width of just over 300 ft. (about 90 m), it's the largest church in Italy and the second-largest in Europe: only Vatican City's Basilica of St. Peter and Brazil's Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida are larger.  

Gangneung is a city on the east coast of South Korea.  The city was the host of four of the venues featured in the 2018 Winter Olympic Games: Gangneung Hockey Centre, home of men’s ice hockey; Gangneung Curling Centre, home to the curling competition; Gangneung Oval which housed the speed skating track; Gangneung Ice Area, home to speed skating’s short track and figure skating.  In this video, RussellFPV flew his first person view (FPV) quad at through the area, earning himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in April, 2019.

Top contributor druno brings us this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone fly-through of a well-known mansion in Central Italy.  It's called the Villa Farnese (not to be confused with the Palazzo Farnese in Rome), and it's a pentagon-shaped manor in Viterbo, one of the provinces of the Lazio region.  Considered one of the finest examples of Renaissance architecture, the mansion was constructed in the 16th century by the powerful Farnese family.  It's now Italian state property and operated by the Museum Center of Lazio.  

AirVuz contributor and FPV drone pilot Drone Huenchurs used a BetaFPV 85x with a "naked" GoPro to create this short but stunning FPV piece from one of the world's most recognized landmarks: the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.  The small "cinewhoop" style drone is the perfect platform to film the wrough-iron tower on the Champs de Mars  Constructed for the 1889 World's Fair, the 324 meter tower (1.08k ft.) was the world's tallest man-made structure for over four decades.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August of 2020.

Château Gaillard, located in France's Eure department in Normandy, is a beautiful castle ruin and remnant of the medieval era.  It was strategically perched high on a hill with clear views of the River Seine and it provided just the backdrop for Raphael Rablat to take a flight that would place him on our March 2020 FPV Pilots to Watch list. Watch as this talented pilot gives us a quick paced tour of this remarkable landmark and the commune of Les Andelys.  Freestyling in France...bravo, Raphael!

First person view (FPV) drone video footage is increasingly being incorporated into mainstream advertisements and promotional videos.  For a great example of this phenomenon, check out this fantastic piece by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot vitopulverenti.   He worked with the National Collegiate Athletic Association to create a promotional video for the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.  He filmed the JW Marriott Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana, host city of the storied tournament's "Final Four" games. 

Drone pilot Nikofilmz found the planet's largest Chevron gas station in Las Vegas, Nevada and saw nothing but an excellent opportunity to rip it up (times 96, to be exact).  He and his friend @doctor.carter had their quadcopters, armed with a Go Pro Hero 6 and 8, ready for some killer air-to-air through the rows and around the station, making some FPV magic.  It looked like a gas, and we were pretty pumped, so we put Nikofilmz on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in March 2020.

Top AirVuz contributor and Drone Video Award Finalist Mauro Pagliai brings us this fantastic drone video of the famous Italian mountaintop fortress of Rocca Calascio.  The video includes some epic first-person view (FPV) drone footage of this great landmark, which is the highest fortress in the Apennine Mountains.    Dating to the 10th century AD, it's located in the province of L'Aquila, part of the Abruzzo region.   The video also includes footage of the Santa Maria della Pietà, a church which lies just below the fortress.    

Check out this stunning first-person view (FPV) video of the great Portuguese city of Porto (Oporto), compliments of contributor and FPV pilot marcoantonio.media.  Shot at sunset, the "star" of the video is the Dom Luís I Bridge, the first in the city to span the Douro River.  The bridge was designed by French civil engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose name is affixed to the famous tower in Paris.  When the bridge opened in 1888, it was the world's longest metal arch bridge; its upper deck has a total length of 395 meters (just under 1.3k ft.).   

Top first-person view (FPV) pilot and drone racer JohnnyFPV, who travels the world making FPV freestyle videos, created this magnificent video from Mada'in Saleh, an archaeological site in northwestern Saudi Arabia.  With full permission from the requisite authorities, he gives us a unique view of one of the most iconic desert landscapes from the vantage of a quad-mounted GoPro. This was the winning video in the 2nd Annual Drone Video Awards in the Cinematic FPV category and was FPV Video of the Year.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Mauro Sciambi brings us this excellent FPV tour of Olympic Stadium in Rome, Italy.  Initially opened in 1953 after a construction period of several decades (interrupted, in part, due to World War II), the facility was extensively renovated to serve as one of the main venues for the 1960 Summer Olympics (XVII Olympiad) held in August and September of that year.  It was further renovated to serve as the main stadium for the 1990 World Cup.  It currently seats about 70k fans.  

Building upon the success and visibility he created with his landmark first person view (FPV) tour of the Bryant Lake Bowl in Minneapolis, Minnesota, top contributor Jay Christensen headed to the northern part of the North Star State to make this epic FPV tour of a famous landmark: the Glensheet Mansion on the North Shore of Lake Superior in Duluth.  Dating to the early 1900's, the mansion was the site of the murder of wealthy heiress Elisabeth Congdon in 1977 for which her son-in-law was subsequently convicted in a celebrated trial.   

Most of us have seen incredible drone footage of Germany's iconic  Neuschwanstein Castle, but never the likes of what first person view (FPV) pilot TimFeistner offers up in this video.  While the stunning landmark in Bavaria was closed in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, this skilled freestyler found a silver lining and used the opportunity to cruise around the castle and it's breathtaking environs. Diving the "fairy tale" spires, he gives us a tour that's most definitely not on the usual sightseeing agenda

Top AirVuz contributor and pilot craig_dt brings us this fantastic first person view  (FPV) drone video of a famous landmark of Moscow, Russia: the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (abbreviated as VDNK), a trade show venue and amusement park in the Ostankinsky District in the northeastern part of the city.  Designed as a "City of Exhibitions", the site opened in 1939.  The video features some excellent shots of the Worker and Kolkhoz Woman Statue, which was originally built for the 1937 World's Fair in Paris. 

See one of the most popular and prominent attractions in the Crimean peninsula, the Genoese Fortress, in this Travel FPV video by craig_dt. It's located near Sudak, in the middle of Crimea's southeastern coastline.  Built in 1371, the fortress was a stronghold of the Soldayya colony with wall that was nearly 2 meters (6 ft.) thick. Craig_dt is also giving us an aerial tour of Mount Mithridat, a large hill located on the eastern Kerch Peninsula in Crimea. The view from the top of the hill is impeccable, stretching out as far as the shore. 

Since it was completed in 1953, the Main Building of Moscow State University has been the most visible landmark in Moscow.  And yet, you've probably never seen this (rare) Stalinist architectural masterpiece from the perspective of a racing drone.  That's right.  Flying his racing quadcopter with first person view (FPV) goggles, Contributor Shelestpv took a dive down this massive structure, for decades the tallest building in Europe and still the world's tallest educational building.  

Check out the Indonesian island paradise of Bali from an entirely new perspective in this first person view (FPV) video by contributor and FPV pilot Ryantlx.  He captured some epic FPV footage of this island in southern Indonesia using a TBS Crossfire racing drone.  The highlight of the clip is some footage of a giant copper and brass statue of the Hindu God Wisnu which was then under construction; taking five years to build at a cost of over US$100 million, it's believed to be the world's largest statue.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Alessio Tricaico brings us this excellent drone video of one of the most well-known landmarks in Rome, Italy: Trevi Fountain.   Completed in the 18th century, the Baroque style fountain is situated just a few blocks from the Pantheon., in the Trevi District   Standing 86 ft. high (about 26 m), it's near the terminal point of one of the ancient aqueducts of ancient Rome.  It is widely considered to be one of the most famous water fountains in the world.  

There is definitely "truth in advertising" in the title of this first person view (FPV) tour of Venice, Italy, compliments of contributor pilot tommasocodolo.  Using an FPV racing drone, he was able to fly over St. Marks's Square (Piazza San Marco) at one of the most unusual times in the city's centuries-old history: when it was virtually shut down in the Spring of 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic.  The video will show you one of Europe's most iconic spots virtually devoid of people, from the unique perspective afforded by a racing drone. 

Located in Rudno, Poland the Tenczyn Castle is a medieval castle that was built as the seat of the once powerful Tęczyński family. The great landmark was completed in the early 14th century in the Polish Gothic-Polish Mannerism style.  Destroyed in the mid-17th century, it was rebuilt then fell to ruin after a fire in the mid-18th century.  Open to the public, it remains in a ruined state. You may have seen lots of drone videos of famous castles and fortress on AirVuz, but probably not many of them (if any) have been of the first person view (FPV) variety.  That's what makes this piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot littlewing fpv so special.  He was able to fly his racing quad out over Austria's Hohensalzburg Fortress, one of the largest medieval fortifications in Europe.  The result is a one-of-a-kind view of this hilltop landmark which dates to the 11th century AD and is situated in the great city of Salzburg

Take a first person view (FPV) drone tour of a landmark of ancient drone in this fantastic piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Sky Surfers.  In it, he uses his mini-quad to gain a unique perspective of the Mausoleum of Augustus.  Dating to the first century BC, the mausoleum is located on the Piazza Augusto Imperatore and just off the Tiber River.  The site had been closed for 14 years for restoration, just re-opening in early 2021.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in May of 2021. 

Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas is one of the most important facilities for the USA's National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).  It was constructed during the course of the Apollo program in the 1960's.  Amongst its 100+ buildings is the Christopher C. Kraft Jr. Mission Control Center, which directs all of NASA's manned space flights.  AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot beto.fpv earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July, 2021 with this excellent FPV tour of the center.    

Prepare to be blown away by this highly cinematic first person view (FPV) "tour" of an ancient ruins site in Libya, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Maim.sh.  Using an FPV-equipped racing quad, he created a one-of-a-kind view of Leptis Magna, an ancient ruins site near the town of Khoms, about 130 km (80 mi.) east of the city of Tripoli.  Founded by Phoenicians in the 7th century BC, the city came into the orbit of Carthage and later Rome.  A Vandal kingdom after the Fall of Rome, it was abandoned in the 7th century AD.    

Take a first person view (FPV) drone tour of Russia's famous Peter and Paul Fortress, compliments of Shamkhal_fpv.  The complex sits on its own island near the mouth of the Neva River in the heart of St. Petersburg, Russia's second-largest city.  It was established in the early 18th century by Tsar Peter the Great, who built his namesake city to replace Moscow as Russia's capital.  Originally constructed to defend from an attack by Sweden from the north which never materialized, it went on to serve as a prison for nearly 200 years.  

Get a unique aerial perspective of one of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia in this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and pilot why.fpv.  The subject of the video is the Samarinda Islamic Center Mosque, which is located in the province of East Kalimantan, on the eastern side of the giant island of Borneo.  Distinguished by its six minarets, the mosque has a ground floor area of about 468k square ft. or around 43.5k square meters.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July, 2021.  

Former DVOW Finalist zippomaker created this fantastic first person view (FPV) video of a landmark in Rome, Italy: the worldwide headquarters for the Fendi fashion house.  The building is called Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, and it's located in the EUR District south of central Rome.  It was constructed on the orders of the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini as a monument to the planned 1942 World Expo, which never occurred due to World War II.  The building was left in a state of disrepair until it was renovated  by Fendi in the mid-2010's.  

Drone Video Award Winner Druno brings us this fantastic first person view (FPV) "cinewhoop" style drone video from a famous castle in Central Italy.  It's a great example of how these micro-drones with HD cameras are able to give one-of-a-kind views by being suitable for both outdoor and indoor flight.  Watch how he tours the exterior of this 16th century in the province of Lazio, then at the :30 cruises right through an open window to take a spin around the inside of the house.  It's all in HD video quality, and it's an amazing watch.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot TreeFPV brings us this highly cinematic FPV view of the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.  Shot with just a single LIPO pack, the video will give you a unique perspective on the city's main outdoor arena as well as its grounds.  Built as part of a 90's upgrade of all of the city's sports facilities, Pepsi Center is the home of the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball League and the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League.  It seats 19.5k fans for basketball.

This one is quite the flight by Russell FPV. A little bit smooth flow, a little bit jagged, cutting technique mixed with such a weird opening location. Weird, but in a very cool way. He flies around a massive statue that includes a figure skater, ski jumper, and snowboarder on a rainbow statue, then rips through what appears to be an abandoned park. Is it abandoned or just empty for the season? Was it once an Olympic host or does it just seem like one? The mystery that surrounds this flight makes it that much better. 

Contributor and drone pilot SustoFPV flew his racing drone via first person view (FPV) over the waters at the southern tip of the Japanese island Honshu near Itsukushima Shrine; this landmark is the only shrine in the world to have been built over surface of the sea and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The breathtaking film shows off the shrine from every angle (like only an FPV drone can) was a finalist for the Drone Video of the Week contest and has been a favorite amongst viewers.

With most of the world's tallest skyscrapers having been tackled by first-person view (FPV) pilots, attention turns to other types of tall structures.  Like churches.  In this epic FPV piece, AirVuz contributor minidrone.studio uses his mini-drone to take on the world's tallest church.  It's the Ulm Minster, and it's located in its namesake city in the southwestern state of Baden-Württemberg.  The church dates to the Middle Ages, although its steeple didn't reach its current height of 161.5 meters (530 ft. ) until the 19th century.   

Get a unique first person view (FPV) perspective of one of the great modern landmarks of Europe in this fantastic piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot josé_inácio.  It's the Sanctuary of Christ the King (Cristo Rei) statue overlooking the great city of Lisbon, Portugal.  The statue is situated across the Tagus River from the Portuguese capital in Almada, near the northern terminus of the 25 de Abril Bridge.  Completed in 1959, the statue commemorates the bloodshed avoided by Portugal's neutrality in World War II.

New AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot DomsDigitals created this incredible FPV tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the famous Indianapolis 500 race.  Considered the largest sports venue in the world, with capacity for a quarter million spectactors, the track is about 10 km (around 6 mi.) west of downtown Indianapolis.  Cars racing around the 2.5 mi. circuit (4 km) reach speeds of over 230 mph (about 400 km/hr) on the straightaway sections and can sustain in excess of 5g's on the track's curved sections.  

Soar past a well-known medieval castle in Italy in this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor stereofpv.  He earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August, 2022 with this piece from the Castle of Soave in the northern Italian province of Verona.  The structure, which was essentially a military fortification, sits atop a hill overlooking its namesake town.  It was built by the Scaligeri, members of the Della Scala family which ruled over much of the region during the 13th-14th centuries.  

Kennywood is one of the USA's oldest amusement parks.  It first opened at the end of 1899 at the end of a railway line just south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  It is one of only two amusement parks in the United States designated as National Landmarks.  It's earned dozens of cultural references, including appearances on multiple TV shows and movies.  Contributor and pilot Angelo Re was able to put together this fantastic first person view (FPV) video of Kennywood, earning himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December, 2020.  

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video of France's famous Chambord Castle, compliments of contributor and FPV pilot Pilu FPV.  The Château de Chambord is considered one of the great works of French Renaissance architecture.  The largest château in the Loire Valley of Central France, the castle was built as a hunting lodge for French King Francois I in the early 16th century.  After the death of the king, it fell into a semi-abandoned state for nearly a century before being restored by the brother of King Louis IV.  

Prepare to be amazed by FPV drone view of one of the great landmarks of nothern Italy: Saint Michael's Abbey (Sacra di San Michele).   The video was created by AirVuz contributor FPVFlow using a DJI Mavic 3 gimbal-stabilized drone to set up the FPV shots.  Located in the Susa Valley about a half hour drive west of the city of Turin, the main church of the monastery dates to the 12th century.  Famously, it provided the inspiration for Umberto Eco's 1980 debut novel the Name of the Rose, one of the all-time bestselling books in history.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot MrFPV brings us this fantastic FPV video from a famous spot in Lebanon.  It's called the Phoenician Wall, and it's located in the coastal city of Batroun.  Located about an hour's drive north of Beirut (and a bit shorter distance south of Tripoli), Batroun is one of the world's oldest continuously-inhabited cities.  The ancient seawall here, which dates to the first century BC, is about 225 meters long (around 750 ft.) and up to 1.5 meters thick (around 5 ft.).  

Check out this drone video of a famous US Navy battleship, compliments of AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot LiftedMedia.  LiftedMedia pilot Martin Novak was hired to create an FPV video of the USS Texas, one of the USA's most storied warships.  The only surviving US Navy Dreadnought style ship, it was launched on the eve of World War I and saw extensive combat in both World Wars.  Since 1947, she's been a floating museum, docked in the Houston Ship Channel just below the San Jacinto Monument.  

In this first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot MuschioFPV, you'll get a unique perspective on some of the most famous ruins in northern Italy: the Grottoes of Catullus.  The remains of a 2,000 year old Roman villa, the site is located at the tip of a long, narrow peninsula extending into Lake Garda (Italy's largest lake) from its southern shore in Sirmione, in the province of Brescia.  The grottoes appeared as a filming location in the 2017 movie Call Me by Your Name, which earned four Oscar nominations.

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot zhoucreative brings us this fantastic FPV video using footage he shot for the 27th Critics' Choice Awards, which was held at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles in March of 2022.  The famously crescent-shaped hotel is one of the landmarks of Century City, a sort of "satellite" downtown (and one-time 20th Century Fox backlot) on LA's West Side which is considered the epicenter of the city's entertainment industry.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot minidrone studio brings us this outstanding FPV video of one of Europe's largest amusement parks: Europa-Park.   Located in southwestern Germany, it's the continent's second-most visited theme park after Disneyland Paris.  The video features some chase footage of a rollercoaster, one of 13 at the park.  The filming was undertaken in connection with Mercedes-Benz, a major sponsor of the park.  This video was picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in September, 2020.  

Top contributor and FPV pilot Ivan Merino created this highly cinematic FPV video of a famous church in northern Spain.  It's called the Basílica de Santa María la Real de Covadonga, and it's located in the town of Covadonga in the Asturias region.  The basilica was completed in 1901.  Located in the Picos de Europa Mountains, the site is of considerable historical significance: a battle here in the 8th century AD marked the first victory by Christian forces over those of Islam.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July, 2020.

To see how far the art of cinematic first person view (FPV) drone content has evolved, check out this amazing piece by top AirVuz contributor rememorales.  Working with travel company Beautiful Destinations, he used FPV drones to give us a tour of the German amusement park Phantasialand.  Opened in 1967, the park is located in the town of Brühl in the western state of North Rhine Westphalia.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch and was also selected as the Winner of the Drone Video of the Week contest in November, 2021.  

Viewers of the French TV game show Fort Boyard will likely recognize the subject of this fantastic first person view (FPV) video by FPV pilot R-project.   The show, which began in 1990 and is widely syndicated around the world, is set and filmed at this defensive fortification in the strait of Pertuis d'Antioche, between the cities of La Rochelle and Rochefort.  While a fortress was considered here during the reign of Louis XIV in the 17th century, its construction didn't begin until the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte in 1801.  

The Land of Legends amusement park is a major tourist attraction in the city of Antalya in southern Turkey.  Like all amusement parks, a great way to see it is via a first person view (FPV) mini-drone.  In this video by AirVuz contributor and pilot tamtantrik, you'll be able to do just that.   Given access to the park, he was able to use his FPV racing drone to film the park's many attractions, including its rollercoasters and extensive aquaparks.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in November, 2020.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Ollie FPV brings us this unique FPV view of the famous Henningsvaer Fotballbanen (football field) in Henningsvaer, a small village in the heart of Norway's Lofoten Islands.  The field is built on one of the tiny islands comprising the town, which lies north of the Arctic Circle in Nordland County.  The location came to prominence when it was used by a major European football organization for a popular promotional video; it's since become one of Norway's most-photographed spots.    

Check out this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video of a famous landmark of southern Spain, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot L. Morandini.  He used a FPV mini-drone to film the public square known as the Plaza de España in the great city of Seville.  It was built in connection with the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929.  It's been used as a filming location for numerous movies, including Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002), in which it appeared as the City of Theed on Planet Naboo.

A first person view (FPV) mini-drone is the perfect way to tour a famous French chateau, as you will see in this stunningly cinematic piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Shikijo.  Skillfullly mixing in some gimbal-stabilized from his DJI Mavic Pro 2, he will give you a unique perspective on Château de Vizille, a historic landmark in the southeastern region of Dauphiné.  Dating to the Middle Ages, the castle went on to play an important role in the early stages of the French Revolution in the late 18th century.  

Check out this highly cinematic first person view (FPV) video of a famous Dutch castle, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot SassySander.  He used a racing quad to film Muiden Castle, an important landmark at the mouth of the Vecht River, about 15 km (around 10 mi.) southeast of Amsterdam.  The castle was originally built in the 13th century, changing hands many times in the ensuing years.  One of the best-preserved castles in this small Western European country, Muiden has appeared in numerous TV shows.  

The Dubai Fountain is one of the great landmarks of modern Dubai, the great Persian Gulf city which is part of the United Arab Emirates.  The highly choreographed fountain system is built on Burj Khalifa Lake in the Downtown Dubai district, in the shadow of the lake's namesake tower (the world's tallest building since 2010.  In this amazing first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor Manuel Bassil (aka Mr. FPV) you'll get an entirely new perspective of the fountain.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

As the Covid-19 pandemic raged through the world in 2020, ordinarily crowded places were closed for months at a time.  This presented an opportunity for skilled first person view (FPV) drone pilots to fly over and film landmarks which would ordinarily be off-limits to drones.  Case and point is this excellent piece by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot osama_fpv.  He used his FPV mini-quad to film a mosque in Muscat, capital of the Middle Eastern nation of Oman.  His video was picked for a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July, 2020.

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot FPV Gonsi brings us this outstanding FPV video of one of the most famous Renaissance castles in Europe.  It's called the Château de Chenonceau, and it spans the River Cher in the heart of the Loire Valley, about 140 mi. (around 240 km) south of Paris.  Built in the 16th century on the site of an earlier structure, the castle was famously gifted by the French King Henry II to his mistress, Diane de Poitiers.

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner kostas Gur brings us this excellent first person view (FPV) video of a well-known bridge in Greece.  Known formally as the Euripus Bridge, it connects the city of Chalkida (Chalcis) on the island of Euboea with the Greek mainland to its west.  Opened in 1993, the cable-stayed span over the Euripus Strait has a total length of just under 2.3k ft. (a bit under 700 m).  It's the newer and longer of the two modern-era bridges which span the strait, which was originally bridged during the Antiquity.  

The Hagia Sophia of Istanbul, Turkey is one of the world's most important architectural landmarks.  Formerly a Greek Orthodox Christian cathedral, then an Ottoman imperial mosque, and now a museum, the massive, domed-structure was built in the Middle Ages and for centuries had the distinction of being the world's largest building.   AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot ucarakkesfet hit up the landmark and set his cinematic FPV skills to the test over the incredible, ancient structure. 

Top contributor CataFpv brings us this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone tour of some famous ancient ruins on the Italian island of Sicily.  The ruins of Selinunte are located near the western tip of the island, on its southern coastline.  One of Sicily's largest Greek colonies, the city is believed to have reached a population peak of about 30k around 400 BC.  The main standing structure is the Temple of Hera, one of five which made up the city's acropolis.  This video made the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December, 2021.  

Check out this great first person view (FPV) drone video of a famous seaside castle in southern Italy, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Flycast.  It's called the Castel dell'Ovo, and it's situated on an island-cum-peninsula in Naples.  The original structure here dates to the Antiquity, although the castle was completely destroyed in the 9th century AD and rebuilt by the Normans in the 12th century.  The castle was extensively renovated in the 1970's after having fallen into a ruined state.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot EvuaFPV created this amazing FPV video fo a famous monastery in southern Israel.  The Mar Saba is a Greek Orthodoz monastery overlooking the Kidron Valley, about halfway between Jerusalem (to the north) and the Dead Sea (to the south).  Founded in 483, it's one of the oldest Christian monasteries in existence.  For filming this important landmark with his racing drone, EvyaFPV earned himself a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2020.  

Check out these excellent first person view (FPV) drone views of an important landmark in Poland, compliments of AirVuz contributor and cine_ghost.  It's called the Centennial Hall, and it's located in the important southwestern city of Wrocław.  The edifice was built in the years just prior to the outbreak of World War I, when Wrocław (and much of the surrounding region of Silesia) was part of the German Empire.  The building is one of Poland's official Historic Monuments, and is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.  

For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot Bagesfeka gives us this fantastic FPV fly-through of the massive new football stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia just prior to its opening in early 2022.  The retractable-roof Jakarta International Stadium is the home field for Persija Jakarta, one of Indonesia's top football teams.  The stadium is located in the Tanjung Priok district of North Jakarta.  It seats 82k spectators, the most of any Asian retractable roof stadium as of 2022. 

AirVuz contributor and pilot dennis.fpv_ brings us this fantastic FPV view of a well known fortress in the heart of Germany.  It's called Auerbach Castle, and it's located above the town of Bensheim-Auerbach in the state of Hesse, astride the ancient trade route known as Bergstraße.  The original fortification here dates to the time of Charlemagne, and the current structure was built in the 13th century.  For his excellent Fall FPV footage, dennis.fpv_ was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in October, 2020.  

Only about 50 years old, the Transfăgărășan Road has become one of the most recognized landmarks in Romania.  The 56 mi. (90 km) road between two of the highest peaks in the country was built in the early 1970's, connecting the regions of Transylvania and Wallachia.  In this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor Bibo FPV, you'll get a unique perspective on this famous road, which was named the "best road in the world" in a 2009 episode of the British TV show Top Gear.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot tonnoz earned a spot on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in December, 2021 with this fantastic video from a well-known modern landmark in Germany.  It's called Tiger and Turtle – Magic Mountain, and while it resembles a roller-coaster, it's actually a (blocked-off and non-functional) walkway.  Designed by Ulrich Genth and Heike Mutter, it's located in the city of Duisberg in the Ruhr area of the (western) state of North Rhine-Westphalia.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot L. Morandini earned himself a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in September, 2020 with this fantastic FPV piece from one of the most famous landmarks in Spain: the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey.  Situated on the slopes of Montserrat, the great mountain range just outside of Barcelona, the monastery was originally founded in the 11th century.  The abbey is home of the Virgin of Montserrat, one of the most important icons in Christianity.  

In this video, AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) pilot stereofpv takes us on a nighttime FPV tour of a New York City park.    Luna Park is located in the Coney Island entertainment complex at the southern end of Brooklyn.  Opened in 2010, the park takes its name from the "original" Luna Park, which operated near the current park's location from 1903-1944.   The current Luna Park sits on land and includes some rides which had been part of the Astroland park that opened in 1962 and closed in 2008.  

Get a unique perspective of one of the most famous monasteries in Italy in this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot palodanieliph.  Farfa Abbey is a monastery of the Benedictine Order in the commune of Fara in Sabina, about a 45 minute drive north of Rome in Rieti, one of the provinces which make up the west-central region of Lazio.  Founded in the 4th century AD (prior to the fall of the Roman Empire), the current structure was completed in the 10th century.  

Prepare to be amazed by this incredible first person view (FPV) drone video of two temple complex in Northern India, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Prohdigyy.  Using a "cinewhoop" style micro-drone, he was able to film both a Hindu and a Sikh temple in the state of Punjab, which has a long border with Pakistan.  With a population that is roughly 60% Sikh, Punjab is home to over three-quarters of the worldwide followers of this religion, which combines elements of both Hinduism and Islam.  

Take a tour of one of the marvels of modern Indonesia in this outstanding first person view (FPV) drone "fly-through" of the Great Mosque of Central Java by contributor yuri parinduri.  Dedicated in 2006, the mosque is located in the city of Semarang, capital of the province o Central Java.  Sitting on a site of 25 acres (10 hectares), the complex consists of three buildings arranged in the shape of a "U".  The central prayer area, located between the library and auditorium which form the arms of the "U", can hold up to 15k worshippers.  

Top AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot AlexCarboni FPV brings us this outstanding FPV "fashion shoot" video from the heart of Rome, Italy.  The video was filmed over and around the Spanish Steps, a famous stairway of 135 steps which connect the Piazza di Spagna with the Piazza Trinità dei Monti.  Designed by the architect Francesco de Sanctis and built in the 1720's, the Spanish Steps are one of the most well-recognized landmarks in the Eternal City.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

Check out this first person view (FPV) drone video of one of the USA's most iconic lighthouses, compliments of new contributor ethanschultz.  Split Rock Lighthouse is located on Lake Superior in Silver Bay, Minnesota, about 55 mi. (around 85 km) northeast of the port city of Duluth.  The historic landmark was built upon a giant rock which gives it its name in 1910, partly in response to a deadly 1905 storm in which nearly 30 ships sank in these sometimes treacherous waters.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot FPVFlow brings us this excellent FPV tour of a famous fortress in northern Italy.  The Fort of Exilles is located in the Susa Valley, just west of the city of Turin in the region of Piedmont.  One of a group of fortresses which once guarded the border between the lands of the House of Savoy (predecessor to the modern state of Italy) and France.  The current fortress was built in the 1820's following the destruction of an earlier structure on the same site by Napoleon Bonaparte.  

AirVuz contributor and first person view (FPV) drone pilot Shamkhal_fpv brings us this excellent FPV video of a famous mosque in central Turkey.  It's called the Aziziye Mosque, and it's located in the city of Konya, on the southwestern edge of the Central Anataolian Plateau.  Distinguished by a balcony on its minaret, the mosque was commissioned in 1874.  It replaced an earlier version of the mosque on the same site which was destroyed by fire in 1867.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in August of 2022.  

Top AirVuz contributor Shikijo brings us this excellent drone video from the great city of Marseille in Southern France.  The video features drone footage (largely first person view (FPV)) captured in the course of work for EA Sports as well as the French rap star Jul.  The "star" of the video is a large mural covered tower, part of the city's legendary street art scene.  This video was a Drone Video of the Week Finalist and was also a selection for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in July of 2022.  

Top AirVuz contributor Clark Lupton brings us this fantastic drone video of one of the most well-known landmarks of the city of Charleston, South Carolina: the Pineapple Fountain in Waterfront Park.  The park runs along the city's waterfront on the Cooper River.  Opened in 1990, it sits on land which had formerly been part of the city's seaport but which had fallen into disuse as newer port facilities were built upriver.  In 2007, the park received the Landmark Award from the  American Society of Landscape Architects.  

For a first upload to AirVuz new contributor striker_fpv brings us this rather stunning first person view (FPV) video of a modern landmark in the city of Nakhon Sawan, Thailand.  The bridge-shaped building called Pasan marks the convergence of the  Ping and Nan Rivers to form the Chao Phraya, Thailand's most important waterway, which flows south from this central province to its mouth on the Gulf of Thailand near Bangkok.  This video earned a spot on the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in April of 2021.  

Take a first person view (FPV) drone tour of a famous Italian monastery in this excellent piece by top AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Alessio Tricarico.  It's called the Abbey of San Galgano, and it's located in the province of Siena, in the southeastern part of Tuscany region.  The abbey, whose (now roofless) church dates to the 13th century, was founded by the Order of Cistercians, an offshot of the Order of St. Benedict.  This video was picked for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in September of 2022.  

Get a unique perspective of an island fortress near Amsterdam in the Netherlands with this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor Drone&Zo.  The artificlal Pampus Island is located in the IJmeer, just north of the Amsterdam suburb of Muiden.  The fortification was built as part of the Amsterdam Defense Line (Stelling van Amsterdam) which was constructed beginning in 1880 and made extensive use of natural waterlines.  This video was picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2023.  

Check out this excellent first person view (FPV) drone video of one of the USA's most iconic lighthouses, compliments of brand-new AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot TaylorMatos.   It's called Portland Head Light, and it's located on Cape Elizabeth on the coast of Maine in New England.  The oldest lighthouse in the state, it was completed in 1791.  Still operational (although automated),  the lighthouse has a focal height of just over 100 ft. (31 m).  It's been listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1973.  

Changchun is one of the northernmost cities in China: at a latitude of about 44 degrees, it's about as far north as the northernmost tier of US states.  Capital of the province of Jilin on the Northeast China Plain, Changchun has a bone-chilling winter season, with an average January temperature of -15 degrees Celsius (about -5 degrees F).  Plenty cold to keep an "ice city" well-frozen, as you will see in this amazing first person view (FPV) drone video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot bungoss.   

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video of a famous landmark in Austria, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot janwido.  He used an FPV mini-drone to film Hochosterwitz Castle, which sits atop a giant rock overlooking the countryside in the southern state of Carinthia.  The structure dates to as early as the 9th century.  The castle was heavily fortified in the 16th century to protect against the threat of invasion by the Ottoman Turks.  It's one of the top historical attractions in southern Austria.  

Take a tour of one of the great landmarks of Istanbul, Turkey in this fantastic first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot ucarakkesfet.  It's called Sultanahmet Square, and in pre-Ottoman times it was called the Hippodrome of Constantinople.  The original square dates to Roman times, when the city was known as Byzantium.  It took on much of its present shape during the reign of Constantine, when it became the center of social life in the city as a circus.  At one point, its stands could hold up to 100k spectators.   

Take a first person view (FPV) tour of a famous monastery in Russia, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Shkrebiy.  The Pskov-Pechory Monastery is located in the town of Pechory in the northwestern oblast (province) of Pskov.  The Russian Orthodox monastery was founded in 15th century, and took on its current form in the 16th century when it was also fortified due to its location on Russia's western borderlands.  It's one of a very few Russian monasteries which never closed during the Soviet period.

Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist zippomaker has created a niche filming historic locations in Italy by first person view (FPV) drone.  In this amazing piece, he's put together some of his best FPV footage of important medieval era landmarks from Italy's Tuscany and Lazio Regions.  The video will take you over and around a series of stunning hilltop towns, castles, fortresses, and churches.  This video was selected by the AirVuz editorial staff for the FPV Pilots to Watch list in June of 2022.  

Take a first person view (FPV) drone tour of England's Bristol Cathedral, compliments of top contributor seb-depp.  Considered one of the architectural and historical gems of the United Kingdom, the cathedral sits in the heart of Bristol, the largest city in the South West England region.  Dating to the 12th century, it originally served as a monastery dedicated to St. Augustine.  Over the years, the cathedral underwent numerous modifications, most recently with the addition of the two towers on its western side in the late 19th century.  

Take a first person view (FPV) drone tour of one of China's most popular museums, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot TonyVisionSha.  The video was filmed at the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum in the Pudong district east of the Huangpu River, near Century Park.  The museum was opened in several stages beginning in 2001.    Drawing several million visitors annually, the museum is one of roughly 300 sites around the country which are rated AAAAA (the highest level) by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
