Greenland is the world's largest island. It covers an enormous 2.1+ million square km (around 835k square mi.), an area three times the size of the USA state of Texas. Located in the north Atlantic Ocean, it's also one of the most sparsely populated places on the planet; each of its roughly 55k residents (as of 2019) would have almost 40 square km (about 15 square mi.) to themselves if the territory were divided up equally. This sovereign territory of Denmark is the largest source of icebergs in the Northern Hemisphere and a crucial component to the entire world eco-system. It's also famous for its mammalian sea life, offering some of the best whale watching opportunities on the planet. Here is a collection of the best drone videos of this mysterious island. In this amazing piece by top content creator Timelab.pro, you'll explore the icebergs of Greenland, the world's largest island. Filmed primarily DJI Inspire 3, with additional footage from a first person view (FPV) drone, the video was shot while traveling on boat with scarlet sails that stand out brilliantly from the white icebergs. Home to the world's second-largest ice cap after Antarctica, Greenland is the source of most of the icebergs seen in the Northern Hemisphere. This was a Finalist for the 2023 Drone Video of the Year.

The video was filmed over and around Scoresby Sound (Kangertittivaq in Greenlandic), which is a large fjord system located about halfway down Greenland's long eastern coastline, well inside the Arctic Circle. One of the largest and most extensive such systems in the world, the area around the sound is virtually uninhabited - the sole settlement in the region has a population of less than 500.

Due to the ecological importance of the fjord and the Jakobshavn Glacier that feeds it, it's part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.
