GREENLAND: A Hidden Gem for Adventure Seekers!

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Greenland is one of the world's natural wonders.  Part of Denmark, the world's largest island covers 836k square mi. (a bit under 2.2 million square km), making it over three times the size of the France.  Over 80% of the island is covered by a massive ice sheet, the world's largest (by far) outside of Antarctica.  In this amazing video by new contributor FADAH_FPV, you'll explore the coast of this frozen land by drone.  Filmed over the course of a ten day cruise along the Greenland coast, this was a Drone Video of the Week Finalist.

GREENLAND - a place that stays in my memories forever. The experience of being so far North, disconnected from the rest of the world can teach you a lot of things. This June, we embarked on a 10-day expedition with Arktis Tours aboard a small ship, exploring some of the most remote environments on Earth. The isolation, the untouched wilderness, the endless glaciers, and the abundant wildlife all contribute to what makes this place so special, but it also serves as a reminder of our impact on the planet and how our actions can affect this remote places and the wildlife that thrives here. Traveling on a small ship with only 10 other guests not only allowed us to reach and explore areas that would otherwise be inaccessible but also ensured a much lighter environmental footprint in such a fragile Arctic ecosystem. The disconnection from big civilization, technology and social media throughout the expedition enabled us to be truly present, immersing ourselves fully in the experience. The days were spent on deck, watching for wildlife, getting to know one another, making nature landings with Zodiacs, hiking in some incredible areas and simply appreciating all the small things and the pristine nature that surrounded you. It was, without a doubt, a life-changing experience, and I can't wait to return to the Polar regions!
