AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out these excellent drone views from Croatia's Istrian Peninsula, compliments of AirVuz contributor #OBENDROHNE. The video was filmed around the Lim Fjord, which cuts into the western side of Istria, a landform which resembles an arrow pointing downward into the Adriatic Sea from the northwestern part of the country. It's technically not a fjord but a Ria, formed not by a glacier but rather by the River Pazinčica. It is situated roughly halfway between the northern "base" of Istria and the city of Pula at its southern tip.

All of a sudden, the view opens onto the low-lying Limski Canal, which has dug itself into a narrow karst valley that has sunk into the sea about 10,000 years ago. This fjord-like gorge extends 25 kilometers into the interior to Beram near Pazin.
