AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out this drone video of a well-known Austrian monastery, compliments of AirVuz contributor#OBENDROHNE. It's called Reichersberg Abbey, and it lies on the banks of the Inn River in the state of Upper Austria, on the German border. The Augustinian monastery was founded in the late 11th century. The original structure was destroyed by a fire in 1624 and later reconstructed in the Baroque style seen today. Still home to about 20 canons, the monastery houses a large library and a substantial art collection.

And indeed, a visit to the baroque complex is a lot of fun - both culturally and culinary. Founded in 1084 by Wernher von Reichersberg, the Reichersberg Abbey is owned by the Augustinian canons. After a major fire in the 17th century, the monastery buildings received their present-day baroque form.
