Lake Kournas, Greece | A Nature's Film | 4K

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Check out this excellent drone video of the only freshwater lake on the Greek island of Crete, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot paschalis. Lake Kournas lies on the western side of the island, near its namesake town and near the border between the Chania and Rethymno Regional Units. In the Antiquity, the lake was known as Koresia in reference to the once-nearby ancient city of Korion. The perimter of the lake measures about two miles (around 3.5km), and during much of the year it is possible to walk around it.
