Lake El'ton

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist yuriy stolypin brings us this fantastic drone video from a giant mineral lake in Southern Russia. Lake Elton is located in the Volgograd Oblast, about 165 km (around 100 mi.) east-northeast of the oblast's namesake capital. The largest mineral lake in Europe, it covers an area of about 150 square km (about 60 square mi.) but is extremely shallow - less than a meter (about two ft.) at its deepest. One of the world's most mineralized lakes, it sits about 20 meters (around 60 ft.) below sea level.
