Lost Lake

Lost Lake is located near the top of Santiam Pass in Linn County Oregon. Lost Lake is a special kind of lake. The lake drains out through multiple lava tubes in early summer. The amount of water the lake holds depends on the snow pack. After the lake drains it becomes a marshy meadow. There is a Forest Service campground at the west end of the lake. The lake is fairly busy during fishing season, and hunting season. There are 14 Lost Lakes in Oregon.
