Contributor and drone pilot Daniel Molina took this beautiful drone video of some islands off the coast of southeastern Brazil in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Despite its long Atlantic coastline, Brazil has comparatively few islands - far fewer than Venezuela, for example. In this video, you'll see one of the main concentrations of islands, around Cabo Frio. Cabo Frio is a medium-sized city located on a cape (peninsula) of the same name, a bit to the east of the state's capital (and by far largest city) Rio de Janeiro.

As I was about to move to Canada, I had the idea of filming the Islands that surrounds my home Town in Cabo Frio, RJ - Brazil. Of course I couldn't leave this place without leaving a big mark on my Vimeo page. Cabo Frio is a stupendous beautiful city that attracts tourists from the whole world. The islands that exists from left to right along the coast make this place more unique and remarkable as no other. Important for the ecosystem and for its people, the Islands inspired me to make this video and as they exist in my home town, I call it ISLANDS IN TOWN. This video also brings up a bit of drone hyperlapse, which was one the most challenging thing I've ever done with my drone. Lots... and lots... and lots... and lots of tries were made, and hours of work were spent just in those 10 seconds of hyperlapse you'll see in this video. As challenging as it was, I loved working on it and definitely will improve along the way. I hope you love it too!
