Roman emperor Hadrian had this wall built from 122 AD. From from Wallsend in the west to Bowness-on-Solway in the east it is some 117 km (73 miles) long and almost 4 meters (12 feet) high. Most parts are much lower today, many parts missing. Milecastles (now just the foundations are visible) line the wall every mile and were manned with 12 to 20 soldiers. A few forts with a couple hundred soldiers were built at strategic places. Most of these places are really only interesting when taking time and reading the info panels outside or in the museums. From the air they do have a certain charme. One place (Winshields Wall) I couldn't find, a couple were in no-fly zones and the wind was very strong. So there is less drone footage than I had hoped. For the first time I slowed down the 50 fps fpv footage to make it look less shaky. DJI Mini 2, DJI FPV drone, DJI Osmo Pocket.
