42 kilometers from the city of Ixmiquilpan, in the state of Hidalgo, lies the ecotourism park La Gloria Tolantongo, a resort with waterfalls, hot spring pools, accommodation, and countless activities to enjoy with family, as a couple, or with friends.
This rural complex is located 57 kilometers from the Metztitlán Canyon Biosphere Reserve, on a forested hillside, next to the Tolantongo River.
First and foremost, its main attraction comes from its hot springs, which emerge from the earth at a temperature of 38°C and can be enjoyed in the river, in various pools—some natural, others artificial—and at the Cola de Caballo Waterfall, which stands 150 meters high. These bodies of water are perfect for relaxing the body, revitalizing the spirit, and connecting with nature, as they are surrounded by vegetation and wildlife.
Those seeking more action can head to the Corazón de la Gloria, a pool seven meters deep, perfect for diving; or if air is your element, take advantage of the park’s zip line or cross the suspension bridge.
