New AirVuz contributor Jamil Yosufi brings us this stunning drone video of the remote Afghan province of Badakhshan. The nortnermost and easternmost of the country's 34 provinces, Badakhshan has a long borders with the neighboring Central Asian republic of Tajikstan to the north and east and with Pakistan to the south, as well as a short border with China. Badakhshan is also the name for a historical region which also includes a large part of eastern Tajikstan a small portion of China's massive province of Xinjiang.

Badakhshan Province is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan. Much of historic Badakhshan lies within Tajikistan's Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region in the southeastern part of the country. The music of Badakhshan is an important part of the region's cultural heritage.
