Check out this fascinating drone video of an abandoned town in southern Italy.  The "ghost town" of Craco is located in Basilicata, at the "ankle" of peninsular Italy.  Settled during the Antiquity, Craco experienced a series of natural disasters in the 20th century, ranging from drought to landslides to floods.  After a 1980 earthquake, the town was abandoned.  It's since been used as a filming location for numerous feature movies, notably as the spot where Judas committed suicide in the 2004 epic Passion of the Christ.
