Blue Waters around Kemmuna (Comino)

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Comino is a tiny island which sits between Malta and Gozo, the two main islands of the Mediterranean nation of Malta. With fewer than five permanent residents, it's best known for St. Mary's Tower, a 17th century fortification which overlooks a small bay on the western side of the island, and the Blue Lagoon, which sits between Comino and the tiny islet of Cominotto. In this drone video by contributor Travel and Drones, you'll get an aerial tour of the island, which is named after the cumin seed which at one time grew in abundance here.

Best time to visit is Half September , beginning October (less tourists and weather is still fine for swimming , at least when I was there) Only 3.5 square kilometers, Comino is car-free and apart from one hotel, is virtually uninhabited. The island's main attraction is the Blue Lagoon. In summer, this sheltered inlet of shimmering aquamarine water over white sand is very popular with day-trippers.
