AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Comino is the (by far) smallest of the three islands of the Maltese Archipelago in the central Mediterranean. Once called Ephaestia, it's situated between the much larger islands of Gozo (to its north) and Malta (to its south). Covering only about 3.5 square km. (about 1.4 square mi.), it has fewer than ten permanent residents as of 2020. Today we will fly above the Blue Lagoon in Comino. The island of Comino, part of Malta, is a must-visit location. Blue Lagoon in Comino is the most photographed area in Malta. Comino's population: 3 however during the season the Blue Lagoon is totally overcrowded. That's why I like to visit Comino during winter and spring time. A few facts about the Blue Lagoon: - The Blue Lagoon is one of the most beautiful spots around the Maltese islands. - Crystal clear, azure water - Main tourist attraction, very popular and busy in summer. - Popularized in blockbuster films - Girls, Bred Pitt was here :)
