Exploring Hatcher Pass, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Seward, Valdez, Homer, Whittier, Knik Glacier, Denali, the Alaska Range and much more. Endless Glaciers, mountains, wildlife and untouched lands. Alaska covers a variety of regions. Bordering the Pacific Ocean, the large Gulf of Alaska is bordered to the east by a coastal archipelago and to the west by the long Alaska Peninsula, which extends into the Aleutian Islands. The mountains reach 2,000 to 3,000 m. The southeastern archipelago is formed by a jumble of mountainous islands preceding a narrow continental zone, opened by deep fjords and dominated by the coastal range.
