The western third of Australia is actually one of the country's states and the easiest to remember by name - it's called Western Australia. WA covers an immense area of over 2.6 million square km (over 1 million square mi), much of which is huge farms, gigantic mines, and one of the world's largest deserts. Approximately three quarters of its population lives in and around the city of Perth, Australia's fourth largest city, situated in WA's southwestern corner. WA also is home to some spectacular natural scenery such as the area around the Margaret River and the amazing pink Lake Hillier. Here are some of the best drone videos of this vast region, which is also home to some of the world's best surfing and whale watching.
