Valencia and Murcia are two semi-autonomous communities of easter Spain. Together, they include the provinces of Alicante, Castellon, Murcia, and Valencia, in effect occupying the middle of Spain's Mediterranean coastline between Catalonia to the north and Andalusia to the south. It includes some of the most beautiful beaches in Spain as well as Valencia, the country's third largest city which is also the country's most important seaport. It's also known in part for its unique rock formations, and has some of Spain's most popular spots for rock climbing.
