Alcala de Xivert castle in Castellon (Spain)
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Check out this drone video of a medieval castle on Spains's Mediterranean coast, compliments of SkySurfer. It's in the town of Alcalà de Xivert, which lies in the Alicante province in the region of Valencia. The town is strategically located in a valley between two small mountain ranges. The castle here was originally built by the Moors, Muslims who controlled much of Spain for several centuries. It was captured in the 13th century by forces of Aragon, one of the kingdoms which eventually formed the core of modern Spain.
