For a first upload to AirVuz, brand-new contributor hoancv@gmail.com brings us this DVOW nominated aerial film of Vietnam.  The video features footage from the following locations in this Southeast Asian country: the great capital city of Hanoi, located on the Red River Delta in the northern part of the country; the city of Da Nang, which lies about midway down the country's coastline; the central Vietnamese trading port city of Hoi An; the southern port city of Nha Trang; and the country's largest city, Ho Chi Minh City.

Contributor Ryan Purvis took a three month motorcycle ride through Vietnam and created this amazing video from the trip.  In the video you will find amazing aerial footage of many of the most well known spots in this amazing Southeast Asian country with a population nearing 100 million, including Ho Chi Minh City (formerly the South Vietnamese capital of Saigon), Can Tho, La Gi, Mui Ne, Dalat, Cam Ranh, Nha Trang, Quoy Nhon, Hoi An, Danang, Phong Nha, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Halong Bay, and Cat Ba Island.

In this aerial video, drone pilot and cinematographer Marc Piramide gives us some great visual insights into what makes the Southeast Asian nation of Vietnam so unique. The Southeast Asian country of Vietnam is known for its beaches, pagodas, rainforest jungles, mountains, and bustling cities. Located on the South China Sea, the country is home to nearly 100 million people as of 2019. Created by pixelhunters, this beautiful aerial video of Vietnam showcases the capital city of Hanoi as well as Halong Bay on the country's northern coastline, Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An, and Ho Chi Minh City.  The last was formerly known as Saigon and was the capital of South Vietnam prior to reunification.

Check out this beautiful DVOW Finalist drone video from Vietnam, compliments of emanuelepinna. The video was shot over several spots in this beautiful Southeast Asian country. One of the areas featured in Ha Long Bay in the northeastern part of the country.  The bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is known for its karst islands. Other highlights include some amazing top-down shots of Vietnam's "basket boats"; these emerged in central Vietnam during the French Colonial period as a means to avoid taxes imposed on boats. 

Multiple DVOW Winner dronesantana007 brings us this stunning drone video of the Vietnamese port city of Danang.  One of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing travel destinations, Danag is located about midway down Vietnam's long eastern coastline, at the mouth of the  Hàn River.  The video opens with stunning shots of the Lady Buddha statue in the surrounding Marble Mountains, the tallest in Vietnam.  Other highlights include the Sun Wheel, a massive Ferris wheel in the Asia Park, the city's beachfront hotels, river bridges, and more.  

Prepare to be amazed by this stunning day-and-night drone video of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam by top AirVuz contributor dronesantana007.  The video opens with a shot flying towards Bitexco Financial Center, briefly Vietnam's tallest building and still distinguished by its 52nd floor helipad.  Around the :54 mark, you'll fly over the Ba Son Bridge, which spans the Saigon River and opened in 2022.  At 2:25, there's another shot looking past the bridge toward the Landmark 81 tower, the second-tallest skyscraper in Southeast Asia as of 2024.  

Ninh Binh is a small town in northern Vietnam, in the province of the same name on the delta of the Red River, one of the most important waterways in Southeast Asia.  With a population of around 130k as of 2019, it is located just a short distance from the country's coastline on the South China Sea.  In this video, top contributor Ryzone used a drone to film this stunningly beautiful town, with structures built into huge limestone mountains towering over the river.  This video was chosen as a Drone Video of the Month winner.    

Ride along with top AirVuz contributor Mattcoq on this epic aerial tour of the central coast of Vietnam.  The first stop is Huế, the capital of the Đàng Trong kingdom which once ruled over much of Southeast Asia.  Here's you'll see the old Imperial City and the iconic Trang Tien Bridge.  Then it's on to the Cau Hai Lake and Lagoon in Thừa Thiên-Huế Province (part of the country's North Central Region), before ending up at Hoi An.  The last stop is one of the country's cultural treasures, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

First person view (FPV) pilots are getting increasingly creative in their use of FPV-equipped racing quads to take highly cinematic footage of exotic travel destinations.  The speed and maneuverability of these aircraft allow pilots to show spectacular locations from a perspective that gimbal-stabilized aerial videography platforms can't achieve.  Picked for the AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch list in April, 2020, this video by contributor huygulit is a great example of this phenomenon; the video was shot in mountainous northern Vietnam.  

Top AirVuz contributor I Dang Cine created this stunning drone video of one of the natural wonders of Southeast Asia: Vietnam's Bản Giốc Waterfall.   With a drop of about 30 meters (around 100 ft.), the falls sit on the Quây Sơn River, on the country's northern border with the Chinese province of Guanxi.  Bản Giốc functions as two sequenced waterfalls most of the year other than during the highest water flow months.  Accessible only through a narrow gorge, the waterfall is located about 275 km (around 170 mi.) north of Hanoi.  

The Southeast Asian country of Vietnam is home to around 96 million people. While the country has some large cities (namely Ho Chi Minh City - formerly the South Vietnamese capital of Saigon - and the capital city, Hanoi), it's still a largely rural country.  In this outstanding drone video by iONMAN, you'll get a bird's eye look at this "other" Vietnam, a land of beaches, rivers, exotic animals and flora, jungles, hundreds of ancient Buddhist pagodas, and other cultural treasures like the town of Ninh Binh.

Top contributor jantrnkaproductions put together this magnificent promotional video for the city of Danang, Vietnam.  Danang is the most important city in the Central Region of Vietnam, one of the three official geographical regions into which the Southeast Asian nation is divided.  The city sits near the mouth of the Han River where it empties into the South China Sea.  It's always been one of Vietnam's most important port cities and cultural centers, and in recent years its becoming a major tourist destination.  

Top AirVuz contributor Dang Cine brings us this excellent drone video from Nha Trang, Vietnam.  Capital of the Khánh Hòa Province, Nha Trang  is one of the largest and most important cities on the southern coast of Vietnam.  Situated on its namesake bay at the mouth of the Cai River and surrounded on three sides by mountains, Nha Trang has emerged as one of the most popular beach destinations in this Southeast Asian country, with dozens of luxury hotels and residences now lining its waterfront.    

Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam as well as its second-largest city.  Hanoi was the largest city of North Vietnam prior to unification with the South after the North's victory in the Vietnam War in 1975.  Over the past couple of decades, Hanoi has participated in Vietnam's economic boom and has developed an impressive skyline of its own.  Contributor and drone pilot Mitchell Millennial created this epic drone video of Hanoi at sunset, including (at the :25 mark) a great shot of the Lotte Center, the city's second-tallest building.    

Vietnam is one of the largest countries in Southeast Asia, with a population of close to 100 million as of 2019.  That being said, its population growth has been concentrated in its two great urban centers - Hanoi in the north and Ho Chi Minh City in the south; these two cities have a combined population of around 30 million.  In this beautiful drone video by Erin Rushton Media, you'll get a bird's eye view of the vast area known as Central Vietnam, a land of smaller cities, mountains, and stunning coastlines.  

Contributor Dang Cine used a drone to create this magnificent aerial tour of the Highlands of northern Vietnam.  The region, called Tây Bắc, consists of four provinces in the northwestern part of the country, near the borders with Laos and China.  It's a stunningly beautiful mountainous area, far removed from the jungles and rainforests of the lowlands.  The video was produced in connection with helping the 2016 Miss Vietnam, who hails from the area, go on to win the Miss World pageant in China.

Contributor Justhowes created this beautiful drone video of an important modern historical landmark in Vietnam.  The Long Bien Bridge crosses the Red River in Hanoi, connecting two of the capital city's districts.  Originally called the Paul Doumer Bridge, the 2.4 km (1.5 mi.) cantilever span was designed and built during the French Colonial era, opening in 1903.  Due to its strategic importance, the Long Bien Bridge was bombed repeatedly during the US Vietnam War, and repeatedly repaired.  

Vietnam's Hoàng Liên National Park lies in the country's mountainous northwestern corner, in the province of Lai Châu.  While there are several lodging options for visitors here, one of the most popular is the Topas Ecolodge, which is located right in the park.  Contributor Sandrine Heq, who ventures around the world to make travel videos that include extensive drone footage, created this stunning video of the park the lodge.  The video was voted a Drone Video of the Week winner in June, 2018.

In this excellent drone video by content creator and pilot LeoDonVu, you will be taken on a tour of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest urban area.  The city was known as Saigon and was the capital of South Vietnam during the two decades when Vietnam was divided at the Seventeenth Parallel under the Geneva Accords of 1954.   It lost its capital status and name following Reunification in 1975, but since the 1990's it's become one of the most dynamic and fastest growing cities in Southeast Asia.  

Top contributor Ben Freely created this epic drone tour of Hue, the great Vietnamese city in the middle of the country's long South China Sea coastline.  Hue was the capital of the Nguyễn dynasty until 1945, the country's last ruling dynasty which continued to rule South Vietnam until the end of the US Vietnam War in 1975.  The video includes epic bird's eye views of some of the city's top sights, including the Minh Mang Royal Tomb, the Forbidden Purple City, the Perfume River, and the statue of Emperor Quang Trung.

The Mekong River is one of the world's most important waterways, and with a length of about 4.4k km (about 2.7k mi), it's one of the dozen longest rivers in the world.  It rises in Tibet and runs down the southeast side of the Indochina Peninsula, discharging into the South China Sea in Vietnam.  Its valleys and those of its tributaries feed hundreds of millions.  Benandstories created this awesome drone video of the river near its mouth, on the Mekong Delta near Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon).  

Multiple Drone Video of the Week/Month Winner davetke2002 brings us this magnificent drone video from Hạ Long Bay in Vietnam.  An inlet of the South China Sea, the bay is part of the province of Quảng Ninh, near the northeastern corner of the country.  Hạ Long Bay, which covers an area of about 600 square mi. (around 1.6k square km), is famous for its nearly 2,000 islands, most of which are tiny islets made of limestone karst.  In recent years, it's become one of Vietnam's top tourist destinations.   

Contributor Mitchell Millennial and two of his buddies took an epic three day motorcycle through northern Vietnam.  They left from Hanoi, the capital of what had been North Vietnam and now the national capital city.  Their destination was a small village called Mai Chau, which is located in the northwestern (and quite mountainous) Hòa Bình Province.  Using a drone combined with a bit of ground camera footage, he created this memorable video of the sights and sounds of northern Vietnam from above.  

Hà Giang is the northernmost of the 58 provinces which make up modern Vietnam.  With a long border with the Yunnan Province of China, it's sometimes called the Final Frontier.  Like much of northern Vietnam, it's a largely mountainous province, known particularly for its river canyons, giant sandstone and limestone rock formations.   In this excellent drone video by top AirVuz contributor Dang Cine, you will be taken over this wondrous land, home of some of the most spectacular natural scenery in Southeast Asia.   

Contributor Mitchell Millennial lived it up in the Vin Pearl Resort, a five star resort that sits on a private island in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam.  The bay is on the northern coast of Vietnam in the South China Sea.  Famous for its tiny islands made of karst limestone, much of Ha Long Bay has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.  Needless to say, the view from above was well worth capturing. Aerial views of surrounding fishing boats bobbing in the sunset-lit bay make this a dreamy drone video.

Top AirVuz contributor Dang Cine brings us this stunning drone video from the city of Da Lat, Vietnam.  One of the country's most popular tourist destinations, Da Lat is located in the Central Highlands, an upland region in the south-central part of the country.  With its temperate climate, Da Lat was originaly built up during the French Colonial period as a place for Europeans to get away from the sweltering heat of the coastal plains.  It now attracts about 1.5 million domestic tourists and 300k foreign arrivals each year.  

If you don't normally associate the Southeast Asian nation of Vietnam with big-time music festivals, this video will make you think again.  Top contributor jantrnkaproductions ventured to an 11 day pop/techno festival called Epizodes on Phu Quoc Island to create this rather remarkable video that includes both drone and ground camera footage.  The island is one of a group of islands in the far southern end of the country in the Kiên Giang Province.  This was the second year of the festival.

Mue Ne is a coastal town in the Bình Thuận province of southern Vietnam.  It is the center of a roughly 50 km (30 mi.) stretch of coastline that has become a popular spot for surfers and kiteboarders around the world.  In this video, contributor Rufus Blackwell used a drone to film some of the kiteboarding action in this tropical paradise, recently named one of Asia's top 20 beaches by CNN Travel.  He then did some post-production editing and the result is some astounding aerial video content. 

In this drone video, contributor justhowes does a phenomenal job of capturing the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi.  The city lies in the interior of northern Vietnam on the Red River, one of the most important waterways in Southeast Asia.  It's the country's second most populous city, with a metropolitan population of over 15 million.  The video will take you over some of the most well known spots of this 1,000 year old city, which was the capital of North Vietnam prior to reunification following the Vietnam War. 

Check out this stunning drone video from Vietnam's Phú Quốc Island, compliments of contributor Dang Cine.  Vietnam's largest island, Phú Quốc is located off the southwestern tip of Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand.  With a permanent population of just over 100k, the island has become a growing tourist destination since the Vietnamese government started allowing 30 day visa-free visits several years ago.  It's situated just to the south of Cambodia's tropical islands which are enjoying a similar ascendancy.  

Top contributor Sandrine Hecq created this stunning vlog of one of the most beautiful spots in Vietnam: Ha Long Bay, which lies off the northern coast of this Southeast Asian country.  The 25 day trip included a cruise as well as a number of side trips to some of the highlights of the area such as Sung Con Cave.  The Bay is part of the South China Sea and lies off the coast of the Quảng Ninh Province, the northernmost of the country's provinces.  Among other things, it's known for its giant sandstone tower mountains that seem to magically rise from the sea. 

Get a bird's eye view of a spectacular waterfall in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, compliments of talented content creator and pilot Dang Cine.  It's called the Dambri Waterfall, and it's located about ten miles (18 km) northeast of the town of Bao Loc in the province of Lâm Đồng in the south-central part of the country.  The falls feature a drop of 300 ft. or around 90 meters.  The falls are located about 60 miles (around 100 km) from the provincial city of Da Lat and about twice that distance from Ho Chi Minh City.  

In this drone video by content creator and pilot PID, you'll be able to take an aerial tour of Vietnam's Quảng Trị Province.  Quảng Trị is the next-to-southernmost of the six provinces which make up the country's North Central Coast (Bắc Trung Bộ) region.  During the roughly three decades when the country was divided at the 17th Parallel, Quảng Trị was the northernmost province in South Vietnam.  Situated on the border, it was the scene of some of the worst fighting during the Vietnam War that raged (with interruptions) from 1945-75.

Take an aerial tour of Vietnam's coastal Ninh Thuận Province, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Dang Cine.  One of Vietnam's 58 provinces, it's part of the South Central Region.  The video will take you across this largely rural province, whose landscape is a mix of coastal plains and extensive surrounding mountains.  The shots range from temples to the provinces's beautiful coastline and inviting beaches.  You'll also get a glimpse of signs of modernization in Vietnam such as the new An Dong Bridge over Dinh River.

Northern Vietnam is generally regarded as the most naturally beautiful part of this large Southeast Asian country.   The landscapes and people of the region are brought to life in this video, which was created using a combination of drone and ground camera footage.  The close up shots focus on the indigenous people, some working farmers, others dancing in the city or enjoying a soccer game with friends. The wide shots bring out the physical diversity of the region, ranging from karst mountains to rice paddies to the islands of Ha La Bay.  

AirVuz contributor zabsandantstravels brings us this beautiful drone video of Hội An, one of the cultural treasures of Vietnam.  Part of the province of Quảng Nam, it's located about halfway down the country's long "s" shaped coastline on the South China Sea.  Hội An was an important trading port as early as the 15th century, and created connections with numerous other cities along the coast of mainland Asia.  It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage cultural site in 1999.  The video was filmed with a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone.  

Check out this excellent 4k dronelapse of Ho Chi Minh City, the great Vietnamese city formerly known as Saigon until the Reunification of North and South Vietnam in 1975.  The video opens with a shot facing west over the Saigon River towards the Bitexco Tower with its distinctive helipad, the city's tallest building when it was completed in 2010.  At about the 1:05 mark, there's a great shot of the 68 story Landmark 81 Tower, which lies a bit upstream on the river and has been the country's tallest since it was completed in 2018.

Vietnam's Hà Giang Loop has emerged as one of the most popular motorcycle road trip routes in Asia.  Named for the country's northernmost province, the circuit takes bikers through some of the world's most beautiful mountain routes.    In this piece, AirVuz contributor Tom Durnford recorded a 1.3k km (around 800 mi.) trip, accompanied by his DJI Mavic Air drone.  Ride along with him for a trip through some of Vietnam's most beautiful mountain scenery, including a stop in Sa Pa in the neighboring province of Lào Cai.  

Check out this amazing video from Vietnam, which combines footage from a DJI Mavic Air as well from a first person view (FPV) racing drone.  Beautifull edited, the video covers several different locations in this Southeast Asian country: Cat Cat Village in the northwestern Lào Cai Province; Sa Pa, one of the main market towns in Lào Cai; and the magnificent HaLong bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the country's northeastern coastline which is famous for its gigantic karst limestone miniature islands.  

Check out this stunning 20 minute drone video from the coast of central Vietnam, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot ota.  The video was filmed over Eo Gio Beach in the town of Qui Nhon; it's located in the Bình Định Province, one of the seven which make up the country's official South Central Coast region.  While the area here has long roots in fishing, in recent years, like so many of the small coastal towns in this large Southeast Asian country, it's become a prime destination for beach-going tourists around the world.   

Contributor and drone pilot Dang Cine put together this excellent aeria video of a well-known hot air balloon festival in the Vietnamese city of Huế.  Held in April, the even draws balloonists and spectators from all over the world.  Huế is one of the most important cultural centers in Central Vietnam, and one of the country's dozen largest cities overall.  Capital of the Thừa Thiên-Huế Province, the city was the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty until 1945 and was on the front line of the Vietnam War from 1945-75.

Take in these marvelous drone views of Vietnam's Phong Nha–Kẻ Bàng National Park, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Dang Cine.  The park is located north central province of Quảng Bình, about 300 mi. (around 500 km) south of Hanoi.  Situated in the interior of one of the narrowest parts of the country, the park is home to one of the world's largest limestone karst regions.  With over 300 caves and grottos, the park is a UNESCO World Heritage natural site.  Its Hang Sơn Đoòng is considered the world's largest cave.    

Vietnam's Cát Bà Island is the island of Ha Long Bay, one of the country's top tourist attractions.  The island is popular as a jumping-off point for tours of the famous bay, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.  Seen here in this excellent drone video by new AirVuz contributor FSJR, the island has a permanent population of about 13k, in addition to about 4k people who live in floating fishing villages.  About a third of the island's area of around 260 square km (around 100 square mi.) is covered by a national park.     

Here is a marvelous 4k aerial tour of Sapa Vietnam, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Dang Cine.   Sapa is one of the main towns in Lào Cai Province, one of the northernmost of the 58 provinces which make up this large Southeast Asian country.  The town is located just a short distance from Vietnam's nortern border with Vietnam, about 380 km (around 230 mi.) northwest of Hanoi.  It's set within the Hoàng Liên Son Mountains, which mark the eastern end of the great Himalayan Mountains chain.   

Hạ Long is the northernmost major city on the long coastline of Vietnam.  It's situated near the head of its namesake bay, about 180 km (around 110 mi.) east of Hanoi.  Once primarily known for coal mining, the city has seen its economy shift to tourism as it became the gateway to Hạ Long Bay, an island-studded inlet of the South China Sea which has become one of the country's top tourist destinations.  You can check out the city and its famous bay from above in this drone video by former DVOW Finalist hoancv@gmail.com.

AirVuz contributor and drone pilot Dang Cine created this beautiful aerial mini-tour of the An Giang province of southern Vietnam.  One of the 58 provinces of this large and diverse Southeast Asian country, An Giang is located on the delta of the Mekong Delta in the southwestern corner of the country, near the border with Cambodia.   Covered by the alluvial plain which defines much of the delta, the province is distinguished in part by its large Muslim population in this largely Buddhist country.  

Mai Châu is a District of the Hòa Bình Province in north-central Vietnam.  As Vietnam increasingly opens itself up to tourism, Mai Châu has been one of the prime beneficiaries.  Located about 135 km (around 80 mi.) from the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi, it's a generally hilly region, with small towns built into its many valleys.  In this drone video by AirVuz contributor and pilot justhowes, you can check out the natural and cultural sites of this mountainous district from above.  

Phú Lộc is a rural district of Thừa Thiên–Huế,  one of the provinces which make up the North Central Coast region of Vietnam.  Situated along the South China Sea (which is considered an extension of the Pacific Ocean), it's a picturesque place for a relaxing vacation like the one drone pilot Mattcoq took over the Chinese New Year. Check out the aerial views of the beautiful beaches and water surrounding the exotic vacation homes.  The video was shot with the DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone.  

The hot air balloon festival that is held in the city of Huế, Vietnam draws people from countries all over including the Netherlands, Korea, India, Japan and more. Contributor Dang Cine captured aerial footage of the aerial spectacle with his drone and amongst the glowing orbs are some unique designs like a Smurf and a baby chick.  Huế is a historic town situated about midway down Vietnam's long South China Sea coastline, just a few km/mi inland upstream from the mouth of the Perfume River.  

Yên Bái is a landlocked northern province of Vietnam, located just to the south of Hà Giang (the country's northernmost province).  Like much of northern Vietnam, Yên Bái is mostly mountainous, and crossed by numerous rivers and canyons.  In this drone video by AirVuz contributor Dang Cine, you'll get a marvelous one-shot aerial view of a hilltop village somewhere in the province.  The video was undertaken as part of a project for the winner of the Miss Vietnam contest in 2016.

Check out this fantastic drone video of Vietnam's great Bái Đính Temple complex, compliments of AirVuz contributor Drone Downunder.  Located in the hills of the northern province of Ninh Binh, Bái Đính is considered the largest group of Buddhist temples in this Southeast Asian country.  The complex consists of the old temple and a 2000's era new temple, which is located about 800 meters (around a half-mile) from the former.  The temple hosts a festival during the first lunar months, which draws huge crowds to the region.  

When it comes to surveys of the world's most impressive waterfalls, there is one name in Southeast Asia which consistently shows up - Ban Gioc Falls.  It's actually a system of two waterfalls  on the Chinese-Vietnamese border, one of which lies in each country.  Called Detian on the Chinese side, its drop is a modest 30 meters (98 ft.) but it's massively wide - 300 meters, or almost 1k ft.  In this video, you'll get a bird's eye view of these amazing falls, compliments of contributor We Ride Vietnam.

The Nhật Tân Bridge is one of the modern marvels of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.  Seen in this excellent video by former Drone Video of the Week Winner davetke2002, the cable-stayed span crosses the Red River and connects the central city with Noi Bai International Airport, the country's second-busiest.  With five towers representing the five ancient gates of Hanoi, the bridge has a total length of 5.2 miles (8.3 km) and four individual spans of 984 ft. (300 m) each.  Completed in 2015, its unique lighting system was added in 2017.   

Vietnam is quickly joining the ranks of Thailand and Indonesia as a top tourist destination in Southeast Asia, and it's the country's northern areas that are leading the way.  One of the most popular is the province of Ninh Binh, on the delta of the Red River about 90 minutes due south of Hanoi.  With its reserve parks, deep river canyons, grotto caves, ancient cultural attractions, it's become one of Vietnam's top destinations.  Get a tour of Ninh Binh in this beautiful drone video by iONMAN, which includes footage of the Bái Đính Temple complex.

Former DVOW Winner dronesantana007 brings us this fascinating aerial video from the southern part of Vietnam.  The first part of the video was filmed over the Củ Chi Tunnels, a network of underground passageways under a northern district of Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) which was used by the Viet Cong guerilla fighters during the Vietnam war.  Starting at the 1:47 mark, you'll see the Vĩnh Tràng Temple southwest of HCMC, which was built in the mid-19th century and is one of the country's best-known Buddhist temple complexes.  

Check out these spectacular drone views of one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world, compliments of AirVuz contributor Dang Cine.  Vietnam's Landmark 81 stands a bit over 1.5k ft. (461 m) above the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, the commercial capital and largest city of Vietnam.  Completed in 2018, the 81 story tower was the tallest in Southeast Asian prior to the completion of the Merdeka 118 tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  The 81 story tower sits on the banks of the Saigon River just north of the historic city center.  

Take in these stunning aerial views of the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi, compliments of AirVuz contributor hoancv@gmail.com.  Located on the delta of the Red River, Hanoi was the capital of North Vietnam prior to Unification in 1975.  With a metropolitan population of about 20 million, it's the country's second-largest city after Ho Chi Minh City.   The "star" of the show in the video is the Landmark 72 Tower; the 72 story skyscraper stands 336 meters tall (just over 1.1k ft.) and was the tallest building in the country from 2011-18.

Contributor hoancv@gmail.com brings us this fantastic aerial view of Danang, one of the most important cities in Vietnam.  One of the country's five largest cities, Danang lies on the Han River near its mouth on the South China Sea.  During the Vietnam War, Danang was the main base for US military aviation forces, and at one point was home to the world's busiest airport measured by daily flight operations.  The video features footage of some notable Danang landmarks, such as the Trần Thị Lý Bridge, the Dragon Bridge, and more.   

Hạ Long is the capital city in Vietnam's northeastern Quảng Ninh Province.  It lies on the shores of Ha Long Bay, a body of water famous for its limestone karst islands.  Once driven by coal mining, the city of Hạ Long is now the center of one of the country's most popular tourist areas.  It lies about 160 km (around 100 mi.) northeast of Vietnam's capital city, Hanoi.  Seen from a bird's eye in this drone video, the city was formally created in 1993 when the adjacent cities of Hòn Gai and Bãi Cháy were merged.

Contributor LeoDonVu created this beautiful aerial video of Da Lat, an important city in southern Vietnam.  It's the capital of the Lâm Đồng Province in the Central Highlands region of this Southeast Asian country.  It lies on a geographical feature known as the Đà Lạt Plateau, and sits at an altitude of 1.5k meters (4.9k ft.) above sea level.  The city offers a temperate climate and is a popular getaway spot for visitors from the metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City, which lies about 300 km (around 185 mi.) to the southwest.  

Da Lat is one of the most important cities in the Central Highlands region of west-central Vietnam.  It's the capital of Lâm Đồng, one of the nearly 60 provinces into which Vietnam is divided.  Da Lat is a relatively young city, having been founded in the late 19th century during the French colonial period as a mountain destination for Europeans seeking relief from the heat and humidity of the coastal plains.  Seen here in this drone video by Dang Cine, the city is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations.  

Ha Long Bay is in northeast Vietnam, on the South China Sea. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands that are topped by rainforests. Its name roughly translates to  “descending dragon,” the area is extremely popular among tourists and is home to 14 endemic floral species and 60 endemic faunal species. Accomplished AirVuz contributor and pilot hamzamuj checked out the incredible area with his DJI Mavic 2 Pro and created this stunning, 4K aerial piece.

Vietnam's Ha Long Bay is one of the natural treasures of Southeast Asia.  Situated due east of Hanoi on the South China Sea, not far from Vietnam's northern border with China, the bay is famous for its (roughly) 1,600 karst limestone islands, virtually all of which are uninhabited.  In this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor Adventurer_Only, you'll get an aerial view of Ha Long Bay, which is part of the province of Quảng Ninh and which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage natural site.  

The Marble Mountains are one of the natural wonders of Vietnam.  So named because of their marble (and limestone) composition, it's a group of five hills in the Ngũ Hành Sơn District of Da Nang, the principal city of the Central Vietnam region.  Home to numerous caves and temples, the only the tallest of the mountains (Thuy Son) is open to visitors.  In this drone video by AirVuz contributor sphereview, you'll get a bird's eye view of the mountains, each of which is named for one of the five "elements" per local lore.  

Check out this outstanding drone video of Vietnam's Bà Nà Hills, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Chitchai Sriprom.  Also known as the Sun World Ba Na Hills, it's a hill fort located in the  Trường Sơn Mountains west of Danang, an important port city about mid-way down the length of the country.  Established as a hill station by the French during Colonial times, the hills sit at an altitude of about 5k ft. above sea level (around 1.5k m).  The town is serviced by one of the world's longest cable cars.  

Check out this epic first person view (FPV) drone dive into a famous canyon in Vietnam, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Wild Sky Visuals.  Ha Giang Canyon is located in its namesake province, the northernmost of the 58 into which the country is divided.  The canyon, which was created by the Nho Que River, has a maximum depth of nearly 3k ft. (about 1k m), making it one of the deepest canyons in Southeastern Asia.  This video was picked for the FPV PIlots to Watch list in January of 2023.  

Hội An, Vietnam is an eclectic, old port city off the South China Sea. The well-preserved town is known for its various architectural styles in the city's Ancient Town, made even more majestic by its surrounding canals. The wooden Chinese shophouses and temples, colorful French colonial buildings, ornate Vietnamese tube houses, and Japanese pagodas blend seamlessly. Hội An is one of the cultural and historical treasures of Vietnam.  It's situated near the middle of the country, on the estuary of the Thu Bồn River in the Quảng Nam Province.  Hội An has deep roots as a port city, and from the 16th-18th centuries it was considered one of the most important trading centers in Southeast Asia.  It's Old Town, which reflects a blend of cultural influences ranging from Portuguese to Chinese, is a UNESCO World Heritage site.  Take an aerial tour of the historic city in this drone vdeo by Dang Cine.  

Nha Trang is one of the largest and most important cities on the southern coast of Vietnam.  Lying on the shores of its namesake bay, it's the capital of the Khánh Hòa Province, which is part of the country's South Central region.  In this drone video by contributor hoancv@gmail.com, you'll get an aerial tour of the city, including some of its famous beaches and its modern-looking downtown district.  At about the 1:00 mark, you'll see what's likely the city's most famous landmark: the Po Nagar tower, which dates to the 8th century AD.  

Top AirVuz contributor Dang Cine brings us this stunning morning drone video of Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city of Vietnam.  The video opens with a shot looking upstream (north) along the Saigon River, with the Bitexco Financial Tower (the city's second-tallest skyscraper as of 2023) in the foreground and the Landmark 81 tower (the city's, and Vietnam's, tallest) in the background.  At 1:38, you'll see the top of the Bitexco Financial Tower, which has a helipad on the 52nd floor, and at 4:48 you'll see the new Thiem 2 Bridge.
