Saigon City Under Developing

The city was known as Saigon and was the capital of South Vietnam during the two decades when Vietnam was divided at the Seventeenth Parallel under the Geneva Accords of 1954. It lost its capital status and name following Reunification in 1975, but since the 1990's it's become one of the most dynamic and fastest growing cities in Southeast Asia.

Saigon (Hochiminh City) is developing very fast. Sky-scrapers are rising everywhere, and we can see their heights changing just in a blink. Hot developing of construction in Saigon is also a challenge for the city in terms of water drainage and green sustaining since more rivers and canals are being narrowed, and more trees are being cut down as well.
