Drone Videos of Sydney

Top AirVuz contributor earned a spot as a DVOW Finalist with this fantastic aerial video from the harbor of Sydney, Australia.  At about the :26 mark, you'll see the famous Harbor Bridge, which connects the CBD to the harbor's North Shore.  Starting at around :37, the focus shifts to the Opera House, which is located just east of the bridge and is perhaps Australia's most iconic spot.  At around 1:08, you'll see the Sydney Tower, and at 1:50 there's a magnificent shot of the Opera House with the skyscrapers of the CBD in the background.  

This outstanding drone video of Sydney, Australia was uploaded to AirVuz by contributor Gizmo Drones.  The video opens with a shot of the Harbor Bridge, one of which spans Sydney Harbor from the Central Business District and the city's North Shore.  At the :10 mark, you'll see the great Opera House in Sydney Harbor, one of Australia's most-recognized landmarks.  Another highlight is at the :35 mark, where you'll see the Crown Sydney, which became Sydney's tallest skyscraper when it opened in 2020.

Top AirVuz contributor Gizmo Drones earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot with this outstanding drone video from the city of Sydney, Australia.  The video features some excellent footage of the city's Harbor Bridge and Opera House, two of Australia's most recognizable landmarks.  At about the 1:05 mark, there's a beautiful shot of St. Mary's Cathedral, and starting at about 1:48 you'll fly past the Sydney Tower.  At around the 2:03 mark, you'll see the Crown Sydney; it's the city's tallest building as of 2022. 

Sydney is Australia's largest city and the capital of New South Wales, its largest state.  Host of the 2000 Olympic Games, Sydney is widely considered to be among the world's most beautiful cities; partly for that reason, it's also among the most expensive.  Contributor and pilot Potent Sky used a DJI Mavic Pro drone to fly over this amazing metropolis.  Highlights of this aerial tour include the Botanical Gardens, Observatory Hill, Barangaroo, South Head, Vaucluse, Watsons Bay, and more.

Sydney's Bondi Beach is widely considered to be one of the finest not only in Australia but in the world.  Known for surfing and all other manner of aquatic recreation, it is one of the top tourist destinations in New South Wales, and for Australia as a whole.  Contributor and pilot Paul Vlad created this awesome video which not only demonstrates the stunning beauty of this beach which lies just a few km/mi east of central Sydney but also shows the power of the DJI Mavic Pro drone to create epic aerial footage.  

Contributor EdDrone used a DJI Mavic Air to treat us to this epic aerial view of Sydney Harbor.  Australia's largest city and capital of the New South Wales state, Sydney is blessed with one of the world's finest natural harbors, comparable to Hong Kong's.  Watch the video to get a sense of how closely the city's most recognized landmarks - the downtown, the famous Opera House, and the equally famous Harbor Bridge - are tied to its great harbor, the second busiest in Australia after Melbourne.

Former DVOW Finalist Gizmo Drones used a an Autel Nano+ drone to create this excellent aerial tour of Sydney, Australia.  The video opens with a shot of the city's famous Harbor Bridge, with its equally famous Opera House to the right.  At about the :32 mark, there's a nice shot looking over the harbor, with the Crown Sydney building (the city's tallest skyscraper as of 2023) on the left.  At about the :48 mark, you'll see a cruise ship docked in the city's cruise terminal, and at 1:20 you'll see the Australian National Maritime Museum.  

Check out this fantastic drone video of Sydney, Australia's Bondi Beach, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Gizmo Drones.  The city of Bondi Beach is an inner suburb of Australia's largest city, located just a few mi./km east of the Sydney Central Business District.  It is best known for its namesake beach, which runs for about .6 mi. (about a km) along the Tasman Sea.  The video features footage of the beach, the surrounding parts of the coast, as well as (in the distance) the Sydney Harbor and skyline.  

AirVuz contributors and pilots Flip Flop Squad put together this epic drone montage from their stay in the great Australian city Sydney.  It's hard to beat this for an aerial introduction to this magnificent city.  The video hits all the high points of Greater Sydney - Bondi Beach, the Harbor, the Opera House, the great Harbor Bridge - with epic drone shots creatively edited, including some amazing time lapse shots of ships plying the great harbor which is considered one of the world's finest.

In this video, contributor EdDrone used a DJI Mavic Air to aerially capture the fun of a sunset cruise in Sydney Harbor, Australia.  The sequence opens and closes with some great shots of what is perhaps the city's most prominent landmark, the Harbor Bridge.  Built in the 1930's, the 1.15k meter (about 3.8k ft.) through-arch bridge was similarly important to Sydney, connecting its downtown to the North Shore.  It is the world's tallest steel arch bridge, and by most accounts the most beautiful.  

Manly is a suburb of Sydney, Australia.  Best known for its beach, Manly is located on the northern side of the entrance to Sydney Harbor.   It's one of the so-called Northern Beaches, which are somewhat less known but no less beautiful than Biondi and other beaches on the south side of the harbor entrance.  While Manly is accessible by road, due to the geography of Sydney Harbor its most easily reachable from the Sydney Central Business District (only about 11 mi or 17 km to its southwest) by ferry boat.  

Check out this magnificent drone video of a cruise shipped docked in the port of Sydney, Australia, compliments of top AirVuz contributor Gizmo Drones.  The ship is the Pacific Explorer, which is operated by the P&O Cruises Australia line (a subsidiary of Carnival Cruises).  The Pacific Explorer is one of four (4) Sun class ship built by the Italian company Fincantieri in the late 1990's.  The 856 ft. long (261 m) ship displaces just over 77k gross tons and can carry just under 2k passengers in addition to about 920 crew members.   

Contributor paulusandry created this beautiful drone video of the Sydney Opera House, one of the most well known landmarks in Australia's largest city.  Built on the Sydney Harbor and completed in 1973, it's one of the most recognizable examples of modern architecture in the world.  It was designed by a famous Danish architect, taking nearly two decades from inception to completion.  The Opera House sees over a million visitors a year, and the site has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

Contributor Tom_Dicko used a DJI Mavic pro drone to create this beautiful aerial video of an area of greater Sydney, Australia.  It's called La Perouse, and it's situated near the opening of Botany Bay, about 15 km (about 10 mi.) south of central Sydney.  Botany Bay is a shallow embayment which is home to Sydney's principal airport as well as (in modern times) its main ship harbor.  Le Parouse is named after a French explorer who ventured here before Australia became part of the British Empire.  

Sydney, Australia is, by almost any definition, amongst the world's most desirable cities (as well as one of its most expensive).  Its appeal has many aspects, but prominent among them is its world-famous beaches.  You can see some of this scenery in this beautiful drone video by contributor BenMack.  We'll let his description speak for itself: "Another morning in Sydney, Australia. Large salmon bait balls, sunrise, sharks, surfing and fishing all in the space of an hour in Sydney's beaches."  

The full-scale eruption of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic in March of 2020 and the ensuing "social distancing" measures adopted around the world have created sights which would have been unimaginable even a few weeks earlier.  Case in point is this drone video by AirVuz contributor skys_feed, showing Australia's famous Bondi Beach after it was closed by authorities due to beachgoers not maintaining safe distances.  Located just southeast of central Sydney, it's one of the world's most well-known beaches.

Sydney is built on a geographical phenomenon known as a ria, which is essentially a drowned river valley.  This explains the complex network of bays which surround Australia's largest city and afford it its natural harbors, considered some of the finest in the world.  In this drone video by AirVuz contributor iggydrone, you'll get an aerial view of Pyrmont Bay.  It's not actually a distinct bay; rather, it's the name for Darling Bay, which defines the western extent of the central part of the city.

Brand-new AirVuz contributor JNIT productions used a DJI Mavic Air drone to create this spectacular aerial mini-tour of Sydney, Australia.  The video opens with shots of Sydney Harbour Bridge, which connects the Sydney Central Business District with its North Shore and is sometimes compared to San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge.  Other shots will take you over some of the city's famous beaches.  At the 1:08 mark, there's a nice shot of the Sydney Opera House, one of the most famous Australian landmarks. 

The beaches of Sydney, Australia are divided between those which lie to the north and to the south of the entrance to Sydney Harbor.  While the southern Bondi Beach is probably the city's most famous, the northern beaches are also amongst the world's best-known.  In this drone video by AirVuz contributor and pilot Travel Lifestyle, you'll get an aerial view of Sydney's northern beaches, the most recognized of which is Manly Beach; the beach lies on a peninsula which forms the northern entrance to the harbor.

The milky, strawberry sky in this cinematic first-person view (FPV) flight by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Gareth Hayman seem straight out of a dream. That dream-like state continues in his flying style, which is so buttery smooth and intentional you truly feel like you are one with the quad. Long Reef Headland in Sydney, Australia is where Gareth flew to make this video.  Located in the Northern Beaches area a short distance from central Sydney; it's an area known as one of the most interesting geological places in the area. 

Contributor and drone pilot Aled Roberts was able to capture this amazing aerial footage of a pair of Peregrine Falcons flying near the city of Sydney, Australia.  The birds are distinguished by their blue-grey back, white underside, and black head.  Also known as the duck hawk, Peregrin Falcons are known as the fastest in the entire animal kingdom - the birds can hit speeds of up to 320 km/hour (about 200 mph) on dives.  Peregrines can be found almost everywhere on earth outside of the Polar regions.
