Above Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara Province

Take a virtual tour of the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara in this excellent video by top AirVuz contributor Alex Searle.  The soouthernmost province of the giant Southeast Asian archipelago nation, East Nusa Tenggara consists of over 550 islands, the largest of which are Flores and Sunda as well as the western part of the island of Timor.  The video, which was shot with a combination of drone, ground, and underwater cameras, also include footage of the Komodo Islands - a group of small islands just to the west of Flores.  

Contributor and drone pilot ery.satriadi@gmail.com used a DJI Mavic Pro and a DJI Phantom 4 drone to create this amazing aerial video of Flores, Indonesia and its surrounding islands.  Flores is a long island situated in the East Tenggara province of Indonesia, part of the Lesser Sunda islands which run through the country's southern portion.  The well known islands of Komodo and Padar lie just to its west.  The video includes footage of Waerebo Village, Kanawa Island, Siaba Bay, Padar Island, Komodo Island, and Pink Beach.

Former Drone Video the Week Finalist Pierre.bk brings us this fantastic drone video from the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara.  The video covers a trip that started at in Maumere, the largest city on the island of Flores.  Traveling westward over most of the length of the island, he ended up in Labuan Bajo, near the island's western tip.  From there he traveled by boat to the Komodo Island, which lies between Flores and the neighboring island of Sumbawa (the latter being part of the neighboring province of West Nusa Tenggara.  

Contributor and pilot Lutfyhasan used a DJI Spark drone to create a magnificent mini aerial tour of Sumba, a small island in southern Indonesia.  It's one of the main islands which makes up the province of East Nusa Tenggara.  With a population of about three-quarters of a million, Sumba is a largely rural island - its largest settlement, Waingapu, has a population of just 50,000 or so.  Among other sites, it's known for its beautiful beaches, the Tanggedu waterfall, and the Watu Mandorak Cove.

AirVuz contributor Bali Drone Guide brings us this stunning drone video of Indonesia's Komodo Islands, one of the world's top emerging eco-tourism destinations.  Home of the famous Komodo Dragon, the islands are part of a UNESCO World Heritage site as well as an official Man and Biosphere Reserve.  They are located just east of the larger island of Flores in East Nusa Tengara, Indonesia's southernmost province.  The video also includes shots of the area around Labuhan Bajo, on the western end of Flores.    

The Komodo islands are home to the world’s largest species of lizard, the Komodo dragon. Content creator and pilot Big Head Greg flew a DJI Phantom 4 drone over the islands' national park (which has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage natural site) to capture its lush green landscape. This jaw dropping aerial video is the result of his efforts.  Prepare to be amazed by the bird's eye view of these amazing islands which lie in the middle of the archipelago, in the province of East Nusa Tenggara.

In this video, contributor RoamwithJohn takes us over two islands just west of Flores Island in the province of East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.  Padar is situated southeast of the larger (and better known) Komodo Island and due west from the "mainland" of Flores to the east.  The second island is Kanawa Island, one of a group of tiny islands to the northwest of Padar, more or less due east from Komodo Island.  The islands of East Nusa Tengarra are part of the Lesser Sunda islands along with those of the Bali and West Nusa Tenggara provinces. 

Contributor and pilot Jhonny Anthony created this beautiful drone video from a day trip to the area around Maumere, the largest city on the Indonesian island of Flores.  Flores is the primary island of the province of East Nusa Tenggara, part of the Lesser Sunda chain which runs across southern Indonesia.  Maumere sits about two-thirds of the way to the east of the long island, on its northern coast.  The area is known for the extensive coral reefs which sit in the Gulf of Maumere, the body of water created by the curve in the Flores shoreline.

Although small, Padar is one of the most distinctively shaped of the over 17k islands which make up the archipelago of Indonesia.  Seen in this excellent drone video by dronetraveller, Padar is situated between the somewhat larger islands of Rinca and Komodo.  Part of the Komodo Archipelago, Padar and its neighbors are situated between the much larger islands of Sembuwa to the west (which is part of the province of West Nusa Tenggara) and the island of Flores to the east (the principal island of the province of East Nusa Tenggara).  

Take a video tour of the Indonesian island of Sumba in this beautiful piece from contributor ibnukf, which combines drone and ground camera footage.  Sumba is one of the main islands in the province known as East Nusa Tengarra.  Covering a bit over 11k square km (a little over 4k square mi.), the island has an estimated population of around 750k as of 2019.  The island is distinguished by a large group of adherents of Murapu, an ancient animistic religion whose followers make up about a third of the Sumba population.  

Check out this drone video of a well-known volcano on the Indonesian island of Flores by content creator and drone pilot sandro sitohang.  It's called Kelimutu, and it's a semi-active volcano near the middle of the island of Flores in the province of East Nusa Tenggara.  The mountain is distinguished by its three crater lakes, each of which has a different color.  The colors of these lakes change frequently based on non-eruptive activity beneath the surface of the mountain, which last erupted in the 1960's.  

Explore the Indonesian island of Sumba in this fantastic travel video by top AirVuz contributor and pilot Alex Searle.  Shot using a combination of drone and ground camera footage, the video captures human and natural scenes from across this island, which lies a bit to the southwest of Flores and (like the larger island) is part of the East Nusa Tenggara region.  Once known for its sandalwood, the island covers a territory of about 11k square km (around 4.3k square mi.) and has a population of around 750k.

Check out this stunning drone video of Kelimutu Volcano in southern Indonesia. It's situated near the middle of Flores, the main island of the East Nusa Tenggara province.  With an altitude of a bit over 1.6k meters (just under 5.4k ft.), it's one of the tallest mountains on the island.  It is distinguished in part by its three crater lakes, each of which has a distinct color:  Tiwu Ata Bupu (blue),  Tiwu Ko'o Fai Nuwa Muri (green) and Tiwu Ata Polo (red).  The latter two lakes are connected via a shared crater wall.

Check out this drone video from southern Indonesia, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot restukangtahu.  It was filmed in and around the fishing town of Labuan Bajo on the western side of the island of Flores.  Labuan Bajo is the capital of the West Manggarai Regency, which covers the western portion of the island.  Flores is the largest island in the East Nusa Tenggara region.  The town has become a significant tourist destination in its own right and is also regarded as the gateway to the Komodo Islands Park to its west.  

The Komodo islands are a small group volcanic islands in the central-southern part of Indonesia.  Part of the province of East Nusa Tenggara, they lie to the west of the province's main island, Flores.  The Komodo's are home to the world’s largest living species of lizard, the Komodo dragon. This skilled drone pilot flew over the islands 'national park to capture its lush green natural landscape. Tourists enjoy visiting the islands to view the dragon in its natural habitat, hike, and snorkel or scuba dive. 

As southern Indonesia's popularity as a vacation destination continues to spread east from Bali, Komodo Island has emerged as a favorite for those attracted to eco-tourism destinations.  It's a fairly small island just west of the larger island of Flores, in the East Nusa Tengarra province.  The island is in the heart of the Komodo National Park, home of the famous Komodo Dragon - the largest of the lizard family.  Founded in 1980, this eco-tourism magnet has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.  

In this video, contributor and drone pilot Clouds Tip gives us a bird's eye view of the Indonesian island of Flores and its three main  "satellite" islands to its west.  All are part of the East Nusa Tenggara province, of which Flores is one of the largest islands.  The video also contains footage of three small but significant islands just to the west of Flores, all of which are part of the Komodo National Park: Komodo Island, Rinca, and tiny Padar Island, which sits between the Komodo and Rinca.  

Check out this fantastic first person view (FPV) drone video of a famous beach in Indonesia, compliments of AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot Wild Sky Visuals.  For reasons which will be apparent when you watch the video, it's called Pink Beach.  The beach is located on a bay of Komodo Island (home of the famous Komodo Dragon), which is located just west of the much larger island of Flores in the province of East Nusa Tenggara.  The beach is most accessible by boat from the town of Labuan Bajo at the western tip of Flores.
