Maumere Day Trip, Flores Island - Indonesia

Contributor and pilot Jhonny Anthony created this beautiful drone video from a day trip to the area around Maumere, the largest city on the Indonesian island of Flores.  Flores is the primary island of the province of East Nusa Tenggara, part of the Lesser Sunda chain which runs across southern Indonesia.  Maumere sits about two-thirds of the way to the east of the long island, on its northern coast.  The area is known for the extensive coral reefs which sit in the Gulf of Maumere, the body of water created by the curve in the Flores shoreline.
