Čachtice Castle - Slovakia
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Čachtice is a well known castle in Slovakia with a gory history. Located in a town of the same name in the western part of the country, it was built in the 13th century and subsequently renovated in the Renaissance style. It is best known as the home of Elizabeth Báthory, a Hungarian noblewoman who is regarded as the most prolific female serial killer in history. She was accused of brutally killing possibly hundreds of young women in the castle between 1585-1609, and died in prison.

As a little kid, I liked this book La Comtesse, which was about Hungarian noblewoman, the most prolific female murder ( labelled by Guinness World Records) ELIZABETH BATHORI is alleged to have killed more than 600 virgins in order to drink their blood and bathe in it, ostensibly to preserve her youth. I have recently visited this castle in Slovakia for the first time and was pleasantly surprised that it sits in such a nice nature surroundings and it does not even seem so scary as I used to imagined:) Also to mention that the famous silence film Nosferatu was filmed there, besides many other films. Done with my smallest drone Mavic.
