One of the prettiest routes in the Leventina. Surrounded by larch forest, it leads through the enchanting Boscobello and into the Val Piumogna, which is crossed by the river of the same name.

Dalpe is a sunny village in the upper part of the Leventina valley. It is located on a plateau at the entrance to the Val Piumogna. The route starts in the centre of the village. After crossing the village, it makes a large bend and reaches Boscobello. Here you are surrounded by a forest of majestic, slender larches.

You continue in the direction of Piumogna by following the river of the same name. The valley is flanked by high mountains, including Pizzo Penca and Pizzo Forno. With the latter in view, you hike through open terrain. After some alpine settlements and before reaching Alpe di Géra, the trail changes to the opposite side of the river.

Iced trees (larces) inside 😁🥶
