The castle of Otíñar is an old medieval fortress located in the municipality of Jaén, province of Jaén, autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It is considered an Asset of Cultural Interest.
Located on a hill with easy access, on the road from Jaén to Quiebrajano, about 13 kilometers from the capital, on the Valdearazo river, in the unpopulated area of Otíñar. The castle occupies the narrowest part of the plateau that crowns the hill.
Its construction is usually dated to the second half of the 13th century, although the alcazarejo is considered later, from the 15th century. It seems that the enclosure could have been built on other older structures, of Andalusian origin.
