Ancients is an experimental super short film that attempts to forge disconnected scenes made with a drone into a coherent story. The film explores topics of life and afterlife, weaving lucid dreaming and the human condition into the narrative.

The project was born because I wanted to make something more from all the drone footage I had than a video with music under it. So I came up with a story, wrote a narration script to tie the individual clips together, worked with two talented voice artists, and got to editing.

The video was nominated for 'Best Super Short Film' and got awarded 'Best Drone Film' at the Cannes World Film Festival. It was also nominated for 'Best Experimental Short' at the Cannes Shorts festival, and was screened at a few smaller film festivals.
