World's First Delivery of Wings By Drone

CONNECTICUT RESTAURANT LAUNCHES WORLD’S FIRST SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY OF WINGS BY DRONE MILFORD- There’s not much better than getting wings delivered to you by a Tilted Kilt server. Except, of course, for having a Tilted Kilt server FLY the wings to you. On June 17, Tilted Kilt of Milford, CT launched the world’s first successful delivery of wings via drone. Partnered up with Joe Papa – a trained quad-copter pilot and editor of MultiRotor Pilot Magazine, Tilted Kilt of Milford loaded a two pound order of wings onto the back of one of the “birds”…and successfully delivered it. “We’ve been exploring the technical logistics of a delivery like this since we opened at the tail end of 2013,” said Sara Vause, General Manager of Tilted Kilt in Milford. “We’re so excited not just to have made it happen…but to know that the wings actually made it without flying OFF the drone!” “When Tilted Kilt came to us, we were excited to do something truly outside the box,” said Papa. “People often associated the term ‘drone’ with something negative.
