This video provides aerial views around a Winter Crow Roost located north of Boston. After a full day out on foraging grounds in smaller groups, both American and Fish Crows stream in flight back to nearby staging areas, and then they converge into the overnight communal roost trees on a hillside, typically between 20 and 40 minutes after sunset time. The roost is located in a busy city next to a hospital and near a major highway, and with plenty of background ambient lighting. It is an amazing phenomenon of nature and takes place in cities across the northern US and southern Canada during the colder winter months. The Crows are known as very smart, social, and family centered.
